Arthur just posted on twitter he has been badly hit by Covid for the past week, so sending him a get well message and IMO it explains why he has not been around to sort out FDev issues and come back to us.

Although I'm sure everyone here wishes him a speedy recovery.
I think it's reasonably established that the majority of players never bothered the forums at any time. I'm sure Frontier would prefer Discord at it's even less coherent than these forums and less easy to mount discussion on.
The major reason there's less discussion on the forum is there's nothing worth discussing at the moment, or as far as can be seen, in the future.
At various times (when various topics came up) the forum has been popular. The issue thats built up over time is people have become less and less forgiving regards communication. For example the Powerplay flash topics drew in loads of Powerplay guys who hated the forum and never came back.
But its as I said- the KS backer 'core' was its lifeblood with no other rivals, whereas today you have Reddit (which is also becoming one dimensional), Discord, Twitter, Youtube, Twitch etc.
Yes, the KickStarter was a great experience which people wanted to continue. Now there's many methods of communication that Frontier can choose to ignore, but if there was anything worth discussing, this would be the best place to do it.
Indeed, and I think this will be the case going forwards- bug reports and feedback on updates clustered around update time.
I'm not about to give frontier much longer. Honestly,I feel like quitting elite but I'm holding out hope for something better from elite ( odyssey). No man's sky releasing the sentinel update this week bringing a wider variety of mech suits to its already evolved gameplay. If I were to go give up on elite I'd play nms. I'm sure each of you are good to know and possibly play with but my experiences with squadrons was not always a positive one and that's why I feel like poo about elite now and to add frontiers silence to the chapter, well that's all "lansbury" wrote.
In light of the fact that two of the five members of the CM team are out for health reasons and have been for awhile, now; I think one could be a skosh more empathetic.
In light of the fact that this has only been brought up in two random comments referring to alleged comments on Twitter (I can't confirm this as I don't follow anybody there), I think it's fair to say not everybody might be privvy to this information, if correct.
Those circumstances should not preclude discussions on capability or competency.
EDIT:: I sincerely hope Sally`s heroic efforts here are in no way a contributory factor to her current absence. Hope they both get well soon.

I guess we are all holding our breath to see which large company is going to be buying up ED? That sort of worry does not bring out the best....
I'm not sure any large company would want to buy Frontier, or that the present owners have a wish to sell. It's only ED that's gone quiet, the other franchises seem to be operating as normal.

Well.. then its only ED that has entered take-over-talks. In times of need, companies sometimes sell off assets.
But who knows. It could just also be a case of FD really not having any plans for ED in 2022 and need to make everything up from scratch.

It is strange, isnt it. The flagship title for the publisher really feels like its being treated as an afterthought. Thats tough to reconcile.
