Fleecing the envelope.I think that cig is pushing the envelope is to be commended
And I think that CIG stuffing envelopes with cash from $3000 Javelins before they’ve even vaguely figured out how 80+ crew battle craft are going to work on either the client or networking front is to be condemned.
i dont trust paid shills like yamiks. he is obviously in bed with fdev!
Precisely, which is a major part of the problem. Nobody holds CIG accountable except for CIG themselves. What deadlines? They don't have deadlines.
What? Not something I've said friend.
You're looking at it the wrong way round. The point about having internal crew being able to see the external battlefield is that both clients and networks are now having to deal with both worlds (ship interior and external battlefield). That's a lot of load.
(Incidentally, in terms of twitch combat etc, you dont 'send that data once'. At least 30x a second is more traditional...)
The current Xeno Threat event maxes out the networking side of the equation even now, using NPC capital ships with no interiors, averaging an absurdly low server tick rate of 3 FPS. And is barrelling such absurd amounts of data about that if CIG were to ever hit their target of a tick rate of 30, it would be absurdly expensive to run.
(Which is all very unfortunate, as one of the few scenarios which could rectify some of the above issues would be to host capital ship interiors on their own server. A solution which is frowned upon by CIG, and by MMO devs such as the prior Zenimax guy, on the grounds that it would be ruinously expensive...)
But believe away that they can easily handle a ton more networking load, and a ton more client load, in scenarios such as this. Sure...
That's nice. Strange that they've enacted precisely zero of them to date after 9 years of production though isn't it

TLDR: Lol away fella. But you really aren't asking the right questions here...
Epic graphics, vehicles, ships, customisable weapons, armour and customisation. Playable map that's massive and detailed...
It's enough content for me
Well it's been years since I used the ignore button, but needs must.
They won't do it as it is an illogical thing to do and a step backwards to remove Stanton. They want to expand and scale the game, which is why they won't release pyro without server meshing.
These kinds of suggestions just highlight how fans, more often than not, do not have good ideas.
As others have noted, if it was ready, they could just spin up separate servers for Pyro and Stanton. Choose which you want from the main menu. Don't need server meshing for that. People are saying no to this idea because it will split the playerbase. LOL, at 50 people max per server the playerbase is already split.
Is it just me...or does Morph sound increasingly like Kermit with every video I watch?
Jared isn't moving until April...he's said it often enough on ISC and SCL.Do think so, Jared recently arrived.
Morph has clear issues with depression IMHO. Something he tries to cope with using Star Citizen. I hope he also does a traditional therapy. Is it just me...or does Morph sound increasingly like Kermit with every video I watch?![]()

The part 1 and part 2 videos are really worth a watch. 30 minutes each so be warned!Grumpy Eye has done a series of videos as to whether you can trust CIG
(Spoiler: You can't)
"I'm moving out", a famous last words meme when it comes to CIG...
