Update on Communication

How many times can one company promise to communicate better with their customers then somehow communicate even worse than before? Is there a world record FDev are going for? It's hard to even be upset about it anymore, its just sad and pathetic.
That's how you lose the faith and trust of your users.
Very easy to lose, and even harder to earn back.

After the latest rumours of Fdev being sold, I'm a bit hoping it's true, especially if the buyer is someone who can take care of the game.
If it's 10cent, the game is doomed to oblivion.

Sales and acquisitions of game developers rarely works in favor of the player base. I can't name one game or company that benefitted from such a move.

I require an information overload or nothing at all. I won't accept anything in between. I also desire a packet of crisps, but I'm not demanding one, just strongly suggesting that one should be given to me or else I'll stop playing, hand my Stuphz over to Bottom Hat, and leave a bad review on Steam. Maybe this needs to go in the Suggestions forum though. I hope my post doesn't get removed on that technicality, or because I'm posting in the inebriated, pants-only configuration, which as we all know is against forum decorum, or is mandatory. I can't remember which, on account of the inebriation.

Could one interpret the lack of communication as the game being on the rails again, and CMs out of firefighting mode?
The most logical guess I`ve seen in the thread is that the team are in full blown crunch mode becuase the fecal matter is starting to hit the fan as the team realise the huge amount of work left to do to get a console release to happen in this financial year. If that were true, it could explain why Arf cant commit to communicating when other stuff is going to happen (which was the tone of the OP), becuase resources are beign diverted away from those planned events to focus on console work.

But that is of course a complete guess based on scant information.

That may have been a "mis-communication" judging from the recent "communications" from various places, where call of duty and playing with tanks etc, suddenly became extremely popular 🙃.
