You know, technically, I'm a Star Citizen refugee. After all, I backed the game in order to give me something to do while I waited for Elite Dangerous to at least reach a rough parity, landable planet wise, with Frontier: Elite 2 from the 90's. Granted, that was when I thought the game would be released in 2014...Will some rare 'SC refugees' do for now?

I don't get it - there is 400 bn stars in ED - why would anyone stick to starter system? You get jump drive right away. I did the supercruise tutorial stuff and spent 1h on fiddling with controls. Then another hour trying to land. Then I took a mission for palladium delivery which I promptly took for myself, sold at black market and never even remembered the name of the starter system again.Will some rare 'SC refugees' do for now?

Well, but as a SC refugee how would one even know that there is more than one system in ED? For years the poor bloke was trapped in one (heavily downsized, no less) system, moving crates by hand and dying to ramps/stairs/doors/whathaveyou. Imagine the culture shock.
You get a sidewinder - what do you need earnings or rank to use the fricken jump drive?

I backed SC on the second day of its Kickstarter, and then a few weeks later backed Elite on the first day of its Kickstarter.
Given how much has gone in to the game, how little has been delivered and how many shell companies exist, I would now only buy in if the Roberts name was completely divorced from it, and absolute £0 went towards Sandi's handbag fund.
Its dangerous going more than 3 layers deep...dreams.txt becomes unstable

Add another, who used to actually be able to play SC, long enough to know the load-up time didnt really equate to the enjoyment, and now barely ever am able to load it up, due to RL but mostly because when I do, I dont make it to a mission. Thats not fun.
What do SC'ers who have kids tell their kids about SC? Does it sound like "Oh, you like that ship you're looking at a pic of? That's where your college fund got spent."?
You both have separate computers, running SC? Rub it in, go on.

Limited and released...and releasing expansions that extend that scope.
By the time SC is released, the 12th of never I believe, ED will encompass everything that SC does! <- ok I can't know this for certain, but that seems to be what's happening.
