Do I understand correctly that the foundation of SC is possible because it is already there, even if most of it is still not there and the first version of the most fundamental foundation is a year a way? And also they finally realized that they will have to split the fundamental code base because SQ42 is not just "a single local server version of SC"?

Yeah SQ42’s dev hell hiatus has got to be partially due to the 'built for multiplayer' code share with the PU. (Made doubly ironic by having been hacked into a 'built for single player' engine, with just some dangling client-as-server code
)Can’t wait for the assured co-op open-world segue into the PU that it will no doubt deliver. Best of all worlds

So... I thought an "Armstrong moment" was a human's first step onto a different planet. I can do that on trillions of undiscovered planets in ED.
Remind me, how many times can I do that in SC?

I mean, it is a pretty new term. I thought it meant when you magically appear in a sorta blue looking cylinder thing on a planet or moon surface under a space ship.
