Made a new building to house amphibians in preparation for the new one - holds 7 exhibits. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

Amazing, I envy you being able to build such shaped building. I can only build the boring squire stuff, haha.Made a new building to house amphibians in preparation for the new one - holds 7 exhibits. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

I'm always amazed at how people manage to build non-grid buildings and houses. Really well done, looks fantastic!Made a new building to house amphibians in preparation for the new one - holds 7 exhibits. Pretty happy with how it turned out!

Very cute exhibit concept and I love the signage!![]()
I started working on this new trail in Tharmachati called "Journey of the Moon Bear". The idea is that the area was originally intended for giant pandas but the zoo didn't up getting them, so they went for their backup the moon bears.
It's meant as a kind of thematic kid story where you follow a moon bear that travels downwards from the Himalayas for winter, only to travel too far and ends up meeting all kinds of animals. The idea would be that each animal and each place he visits would not be the right place for him to sleep. Like the water buffalo exhibit would be "too wet for me to sleep" or the clouded leopard exhibit would be "too hot for me too sleep". Stuff like that, to at the end of the journey end at the perfect habitat with the moon bears in them.
Oh yeah I've also now redesigned the Orangutan outdoor area to resemble the one from the Audubon Zoo, and dang, people weren't lying about how much elevation could, well, "elevate" a build to the next level! I absolutely love how the habitat looks, what with it sloping down towards a moat a few meters below the guests. But on the other hand -- orangutan AI really detracts from the build. If only they climbed as much as they did in real lifeAdded an anteater habitat, an empty pen for a future lechwe floodplain, updated the binturong habitat, and remodeled some fences in Africa and Asia. Maybe I'll post pics later.
I might give up on the cats for now and do the Borneo House instead. The last three zoos I attempted I tried to include proboscis monkey and failed before giving up entirely, so I think this time I'll get it done for once. The hard part will be deocrating the building itself. I do wish I was more artistic; billboards would be perfect for such a thing.I had this problem with a Tiger habitat in Unity. Also scrapped four times. I don't know what that is with cat habitats, but they give me almost as much of a headache as everything with a swimming area. (Yeah, I know I planned a zoo with a lot of swimming area...)
Definately share screenshots, even if the work is not done yet!
When I've started building the Borneo House in my japanese Zoo, I've placed a Diorama close to the Entrance between all the Plants, which showed how Forests on the Island are getting destroyed. It featured lots of Tree Trunks, dead Trees, a Excavator and of course some Oil Palms. There is also a Clip online of a Orangutan trying to fight a Excavator. Maybe this or a Screenshot of it could also be used in such a Area. Also add some Donation Boxes there to encourage People spending Money to save the Environment. I do also recommend to research the Plants in the Game to make a custom Borneo Filter (I'd share my List of bornean Plants, the Game has but I don't have a new Graphics Card yet. Should really buy one soon)The hard part will be deocrating the building itself
Thanks! Took a while to do,.. I practiced a fair bit getting domes to work in other builds. I found that making a ‘template’ with a wall section the perfect distance from a mud pillar to use the 15o rotation helped heaps - it means you can decorate a section and very quickly test how it looks rotated and get exactly the right angle each time. How do you build like that?
I can barely build building that are roughly square-shaped (pyramids, as well, and I have 1 dome)
Yup - plaster mostlyLooks nice. Is it made with Flexicolor Pieces?
I'm getting a small building James Bond vibe - that is an amazing building - and how did you do that? Very coolMade a new building to house amphibians in preparation for the new one - holds 7 exhibits. Pretty happy with how it turned out!
Bay? - Very exciting anything wet or water themed!Unfortunately I forgot to take pics, but I was working on Montego Bay Zoo yesterday.
That is so cool - how do the Bears not crawl down the center piece and onto the path - I would think of building like this - really cool! Look forward to seeing the trail moreI started working on this new trail in Tharmachati called "Journey of the Moon Bear". Not much, ha ha. It's a basic tropical flat map. I may eventually out some water feature. Not sureBay? - Very exciting anything wet or water themed!

In general, this is basically a renovation period while I wait for the new animals.
Looks very realistic.View attachment 300019
Here you go, a picture of the new Orangutan habitat -- I also added more climbing space and some tile shade after taking the picture (dead trees by @cesar creates)
