A request to those helping the Marlinists.

First, we greatly appreciate those Cmdrs grinding to help us build new stations.

However right now we are only on pace for 3 of the 6. To quicken the pace of delivery we would like to bring carriers of supply right next to Stillman Hub.

So we kindly ask those of you with carriers in HIP 22550, if you aren't using them to actively unload supply, could you please move them to a nearby system?
 
Why use a shield if Thargoids won’t attack a ship with temp <20%? Or is it a “give you a few seconds to escape if something happens” kind of thing?
Because I don't like being shieldless. Docking shenanigans and all.

The Xeno Controller really changes up the small build. The actual build looked like this, and on my first run I got 3 samples for the 4 limpets launched:


Thinking about building bigger ship.... but seeing the issues @Brrokk has had I'm wondering if there might be a limit to how many samples can be pulled from a target.

I'm pretty sure it's random. With a salvo of 11 limpets i've had between 0 and 6 returns. I estimate the probability of a single limpet working as about 1 in 3.

You can see on the radar which ones are carrying something on their way back to you.

If I have another go tonight I'll keep proper statistics.

I actually wonder if this is "intended"; if a dev once thought, "Sampling Thargoids should be harder than molluscs, so I'll put in some RNG at extraction". It could be one line of code that's hard to spot, and people trying to fix it since have focused on limpet behaviour instead of noticing it.

Back to this CG and I see people aren't in much of a rush to give the Marlinists new digs. Just the 1 star port from 1 tier secured so far. Then again, if just 1 tier is needed to get paint jobs, then well, yeah. 😜

Yeah, same thing occurred to me. Very possible...

Adequate - I think a T9-load is a little over 12 million if you ship Power Generators.

Similar to Reorte, only seems light if you were spoiled by that last event in Alcor.

Unlike that one and Reorte however, large pad stock within one jump seems much more limited which may be dulling enthusiasm. I dropped a few thousand tonnes as a goodwill gesture from the Emperor, but I've since been sidetracked by Thargoid tissue sampling practice.

Tons of stock of Power Generators nearby. Can get 1 jump both ways in engineered Cutter.

Check HIP 21280 and 101 Tauri.
 
I think 16% is about as cold as I can get an Asp Scout.

I just need to unlock CRCR. I remember I'd being awkward on my main.

I'll take a look If I find myself back in the bubble. Those systems do look to be in range of a typical hauler such as my 784t Cutter true. I've actually been doing the CG in my open trader though, which has a much lower range fast boot drive (although it was worth it when the guy with Grom Bombs interdicted me). Your groups carriers are still an option though.
 
The paint jobs are pretty cool, but I do wish this CG paid a little better. I suspect it would be much higher than tier one if so

  2. the two paint jobs are almost indistinguishable so why would I need both sets? 1 ton is all I need...

I think the 50% ones look nicer, so I’ll probably get in that threshold just to be safe. And besides, it’s always nice seeing new starports being built.
