This. Frontier themselves are creating the negative vibe. They are not promoting any confidence in this game currently. All their announcements over the last four months have been about things they are either cancelling, cannot do, or to simply say 'we don't know' and 'nothing to announce.' How anyone can defend this baffles me. As someone who wants to see this game continue to grow (as do many, many others) Frontiers communication this year is creating a negative outlook to said future that is hard to ignore.

for example are you affected by canceled consoles dev? Nope, but you did made a lot of views by having a tabloid titled/thumbnailed video about it
same for tiled planetary surfaces - which you said you are not bothered much about them - but they were another source of clicks

one of the thumbnails is "frontier is not going to fix planets" - like they're broken beyond reason... when actually planets in EDO are quite fine, tilling is not a big issue - even at launch it was rather rare, now it's even rarer (much of the tilling issues were already patched- literally)
I notice that this thread is not growing nearly as fast as I would have expected such a thread to have grown in the past. I think most people have just really stopped caring.

Not fixing planetary tiling
No development news
No community interactions due to cancelled livestreams
No info on console save transfers
No roadmaps
Issues Report completely disappeared months ago
No true progress with in-game story content in years (When was the last new Thargoid content?)
No new ships for a space game for over 3 years
The list could go on and on.
People pointing out these problems are not the ones causing them.
Also, there's an argument to be made that Pollyanna's are far more harmful to a game than "negative nancys"
And for those players who aren't concerned about the things in the above list. Why are they posting on these forums, and not just playing the game?

Totally agree though. I don't know what FD are thinking, but the livestreams are now a waste of time watching and the only news we are getting is negatives, not positives.
The last patches have been good for me, but still many issues remain, but no news on when the next patch is expected.
FDs refusal to communicate across a wide swathe of topics, while perhaps nothing new over the lifetime of the project, is a big shift away from what they started last year and we had hoped would continue.
I'm getting there, I'm definitely bored. Bring on Starfield.

I'd say that title is pretty accurate.
Finally - as I have said many times before, if I was chasing views, then I wouldn't make Elite Dangerous videos at all. Microsoft Flight Simulator, Star Citizen and even No Man's Sky are capable of generating far more views. As it stands, Elite accounts for around 1/4 of my video output. I've produced something like 56 videos so far this year, of which around 12 are for Elite. That's not because I don't still like Elite, I very much like it. Until Frontier change their approach however, the number of Elite videos I produce will continue to decrease.

Of course no explanation why. Because we are too "entitled" to receive any explanation. Policy of no communication with end only with sale of Frontier. That's my sad conclusion after 4 years and over 1000 hours with Elite.
Its not like they said any useful information anyway. They have a live service game that they treat with so much neglect. We want to know if/ what you are planning. We have no idea if u are firing all elite dangerous team or if you are planning ship interiors. That is not reassuring. Please communicate and tell us what is going on.
I hope Arthur is just enjoying a settlement CZ in G5 gear right now, and that gif isn't his view of the Elite Dangerous community.
It's not the community pulling the rug from under the cm team, undermining what they say. It's someone else.

You're leaving out Elite's micro-transactions.
And they aren't even that micro to begin with.
For the price of a couple cosmetic suits in ED you can buy entire DLCs in other games.
