Can't I just wait for the movie? Dr who I've heard of, I guess Discworld isn't real popular in the states, I hadn't heard of it either. Boy, do I feel stupid, I will check them out though. These are crap quality but they cover a complete movie of one of the stories (Clare Foy is stunning):

Recently there was an 8-part TV series "The Watch" loosely based on some of the night watch stories, a sort of cyber-punk reimagining - I thought I would hate it but it actually was quite good.
The books are really good though - experienced in amazing technicolour, wide-screen, sense-surround, imagination powered.

You never realize how good the Krait Mk II handles until you've been in an Imperial Cutter for a couple of days. It's like getting out of a 1972 Chrysler New Yorker with bad coil springs and into a Ferrari 458.
Pretty good day for exo-biology in that the finds were different and interesting to look at.

Frankly, I'd nuke that thing with a flame thrower. I've seen what this does in movies.
I admit it was unnerving standing by it. But I never saw it move or heard it plead "Feed me Seymore!"
OK! Got the engineers unlocked and the first level or two done. Now the grind begins in earnest. Back to the Krait Mk II to start killing things, gathering materials, and engineering it to the max.

Found a new undiscovered system, so I'm investigating anything that looks interesting there. There are several planets with biology of some kind.
This planet was rather dim and orange, but the fields of Tussocks were large.
This one had some interesting terrain, and quite a lot of Fungoida and Tussocks in proximity.
You can see my DBX in the distance there.
This planet had an ammonia atmosphere. It looked sort of orange-green. I'm glad I could not smell it.
There was of course Bacterium here and there, but nothing much to look at. Continuing tomorrow

I've gone from my Cutter to my Viper in a couple of cases. Oversteer, much? I do like how different the various ships feel.
Nope and nope, how disappointing.
If I was only allowed one ship in the game it would be the Krait MK II. It's the only ship I paid real money to get the ARX to buy a chrome paint job for it - only available for a Hort time. It's also the only ship I have two if. One in the bubble and one for Colonia.
If you want a series for which the book has been party written by PTerry - and where the other author also managed the making of the movie, preventing the 'merkins from ruining it, try "Good Omens" on Amazon.
No, this isn't from the series - it's just a promotional video that was released some time before to prepare the audience.

... but the series is really, really good - honestly, very well done - Sheen and Tennant are terrific. I'm interested to see what they do* with a second season as in "The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch" her second volume was burned unread.
* I read that there was supposed to be a sequel novel (668—The Neighbour of the Beast) so maybe Gaiman has built on that for season 2.
Got to Colonia this morning and taking a look around the place. I want to unlock all the engineers and get some suit/gun upgrades during my time here. Think I'll stay awhile and do some stuff before I go back to the bubble or anywhere else.
If I'm doing this journey again I may hop on a FC or have a better FSD... A max jump of 24.5 ly in my Conda means I must have done over 900 jumps to get here.
I did a surface conflict zone so I can get towards the 10 to unlock an engineer. Looks like there are a variety of oddy missions I can do to stock up on stuff for upgrades too. I'll be hunting some pirates in space soon too.

I loved Good Omens and have read a few of Terry Pratchet's disc world novels. It helps if your are familiar with fantasy fiction tropes before reading disc world since they are fantasy comedy satire.
