Would be cool if the community could somehow exist and thrive with ease within the game itself and not just discord channels and external websites and forums.
In my opinion, the game needs more focus on how commanders can shape the colonies and form factions that have real standing, purpose, and visibility.
Right now there isn't much purpose in cooperating with others other than making credits, anything else is rather lackluster...
I still don't even own Odyssey because doing repeated raids and fetch quests are not worth a bother of getting it.
If I did own it, what would be the accomplishment available in the game with other players? Raiding some base, getting few items and then rinse-repeat because the base just repopulates. I WANT TO OWN THAT PLACE WITH MY PEOPLE AFTER WE SLAUGHTER THOSE NPCS! OR AT LEAST ENSLAVE IT!

This forum is a place to discuss the game and news about the game, that will inevitably include both positive and negative comments.
Boy, that escalated quickly.
OK, let me explain, this post was about news about tomorrows stream, and an update, everybody can read the first post, and to be fair, that's the discussion, post #11 starts talking about the 'roadmap', it's the first post with no relevance to the first post, it's by all accounts a negative, mostly about something else not relevant to post #1. I agree that the roadmap issue, is something else, so take it somewhere else, not here, I'm sick of reading negative posts about roadmaps, there should be one dedicated to it someone on this forum. Post it there instead. I don't want to read about roadmaps here. Enough please.

Tbe first item of the OP is about Update 12 and is 1/4 of the roadmap. So think what I wrote is relevant.
Look, I can perhaps be a bit too harsh sounding. Maybe I should just keep my gob shut. But, just because my opinion isn't what people want to hear, is it any less valid? It's a forum after all. I can try and just spin positive things if you like, but my honest view is that there's not many positive things to say about the current situation with Elite. And I don't think Update 12 and the "roadmap" does anything at all to indicate that ED is anything other than a game that has run it's course.
My silly little post has had more of a reaction than the actual OP which is ridiculous. But I think that is a really good indicator (in my view), that interest in the game has fallen off a cliff. (Cue comments about me falling off a cliff......).
Also if you don't let FDev know how you truly feel then they'll just carry on regardless thinking everything is peachy and nothing will change.
Anyway, you'll be pleased to know that I'll be keeping my posts to a minimum. I'll be listening in and keeping an eye on developments, because believe or not I love ED. Or rather I used to.
But for now, I've already switched to a game that shall remain nameless out of respect but has been in Alpha for around 10 years but plays so good I don't care.

just watched the stream , super excited for update 12 , apparently 100's of fixes and , and when seated you can interact with the stuff , open menus , the command chair now allows the use of the tablet to do fleet carrier stuff , So YAY for everything .
Holding thumbs for this update , hoping performance gets a decent boost ,now that warhammer is done they can devote some attention to elite
