Flipping flip!

I was just landing on a planet, and as my ship burned down through the clouds, coming up from the surface, emerging from the clouds, was this flip-huge vessel, burning, crackling its way up and out.

Flip-a-doodle-doo!!!

I was so stunned I didn't even grab a screenie.... ...WOW!!! And flip!!!

It was probably a frigate. I've seen them a couple of times entering the atmosphere and flying just above my head while on the ground. It's a pretty stunning view when they fly by.

Here's a thought. A long while back, HG introduced sand worms all over the place, which later led up to the whole "Dune" expedition last year, and now I haven't seen a single worm since. But instead we're getting the surprise frigates in the atmosphere, so I'm speculating that maybe they're working on an upgrade for the fleet stuff too. Just my thoughts.

Sandworms are still there. I saw one recently on the Expedition.

I think it was a frigate. Sometimes they go up at an angle and into high orbit. This one stayed in the atmo:

So... Now that we have pirate stations With NO winding stairs flat layout when can the rest of the "No stairs" dream mod be ported to the other stations and freighter and nexus...
How many more times do people Have to go up ramps when it could just be all flat...

Also We have teleporters... Why am I jet packing over these dam ramps...when we could teleport to upstairs...

Yep they do this in Startrek strange new worlds instead of chasing through a ship on foot they teleport ahead of the target then teleport to turbo lift...
About bloody time this was in NMS...

Why is there no lifts at all in No mans sky... why stairs...

It's a cute idea, especially if they were glass. Imagine descending down to an underwater base. Yup, it gets my vote... albeit only after they implement speedboats.... and jetskis...

And yes, I have emailed them.... :geek:

I've used the short range teleporter as a 'lift replacement' in a couple of my bases. Only really works for two floors tho'. Good for sticking a base on a tall thin tower.

There was a big elevator section in a recent leak of data-mined assets. Some were speculating it may be related to freighter additions, or even a future freighter overhaul. It had the feel of an aircraft carrier flight-deck elevator. That could be quite cool, made me think of Gerry Anderson stuff like the Interceptors in UFO.

Latest reports say those assets have disappeared from the game files in the latest patches though.

Ah you beat me to it! Lifts would be cool, but until then SRT is the way. Not sure what you mean by "Only really works for two floors"? The SRT is my preferred way to move from a base 80u below the water to a landing pad above the water.
