What is going to happen to ED in the future? I, like many others, have no plans to move to PC.
That's a good point about the game in the future.No-one has anything to lose by accepting the account transfer that Frontier will be offering in the future. You get an almost full duplicate of your console account ready to go on PC and a copy of the base game with it, and you get to keep your console commander if you desire to continue on console, which you say you want to do.
You may have no plans to move at this point, and that's fair enough, but can you honestly say that those plans may not change in the future at some point? If and when that happens you will be ready to go barring any further progress you made using your console commander.
I'm not trying to say it's the best situation overall, but barring Odyssey not coming to consoles it really is the next best thing, realistically speaking IMO.
I don't know to be honest, Frontier have said they would announce it when it is ready but I would just keep checking their livestreams as that seems to be a good source of info in regards to it and other things. I would hope that there would be a message that shows up when launching the game on console or something if possible? o7That's a good point about the game in the future.
If they do offer the transfer as you suggest, how will they publicise it?

The HDMI cable that connects the Console to TV. connects PC to the same exact TV...We have a whole group of CMDRs on PS who have been growing the PS community. We have CMDRs in the bubble, finding new players and we work with them to make money and grow. The last CG we made 159 billion and resulted in 6 new fleet carrier owners. I do not see PS4 ED going anywhere. We are older and most of us are in front of a computer all day. Last thing that we want to do is come home and sit in front of a computer, with a small screen.

Then by the £3 adapter for USB and Display port to HDMI. They all connect to the HDMI as there all digital HDMI signal pretending to be another standard when there nothing but HDMI signals anyway on the same cables...That only happens if your graphics card has a HDMI slot
My question is, can they legaly end it? Has something like this ever happened before? It'll run until Frontier decide to stop running it.
Yes and yes, I'm sure it has...not for ED but certainly for other games...My question is, can they legaly end it? Has something like this ever happened before?
Yes, given the EULA says they can and most threats of legal action against FD never go anywhere. My question is, can they legaly end it?
Games have been shut down plenty of times especially on platforms the developer no longer supports.Has something like this ever happened before?
I think one might have to have a PC older than 10 years (if it was bought to play games on, not just do 'Office') to not have at least one HDMI socket available, but am happy enough to be proven wrong if that was so.That only happens if your graphics card has a HDMI slot.
Yeah that has become pretty standard these days.I think one might have to have a PC older than 10 years (if it was bought to play games on, not just do 'Office') to not have at least one HDMI socket available, but am happy enough to be proven wrong if that was so.
