I have my fingers crossed for a maned wolf in the next one, but I think what we really need (aside from aviaries) is a SSP pack. We’re missing a lot of animals that zoos have brought back from the brink of extinction, or are in the process of doing so. It would be a great educational tool for the importance of zoos, highlighting animals that need our help, and also would feature some of the animals at the top of this list. Amur leopards, przewalski’s horses, california condors, scimitar-horned oryxes, dama gazelles, and panama golden frogs are the first that come to mind.
😎😎😎

  1. Capybara
  2. Maned Wolf
  3. Amur Leopard
  4. Przewalski’s Horse
  5. Lar Gibbon
  6. Porcupine (any species)

  9. Takin
  10. Sloth (any species)
  11. Caracal
  12. Jaguarundi
  13. Ocelot
  14. Golden Lion Tamarin
  15. Southern Ground Hornbill
  16. Greater Kudu
  17. Markhor
  18. Dama Gazelle
  19. Red River Hog
  20. Northern Luzon Giant Cloud Rat

None of the animals on my list have made it in yet, but I do still have plenty others I want, so I hope it’s okay for me to add five more?

21. Shoebill
22. Coati (either Nasua species)
23. African Civet
24. Diademed Sifaka
25. Rakali (yep I’m back at it again with the rats)

(Also, I wrote any species of porcupine on my first list, but I think now I would rather my vote go towards the Prehensile-tailed Porcupine? Probably too much work to change that, but if it’s a possibility I just wanna throw it out there!)

Whoo I finally got some animals I wanted!! I didn’t add a new one to my list after the capybara was added to the game, so these will be replacing the capybara, amur leopard, and Przewalski’s horse.

26. Brazilian Porcupine
27. Southern Pudu
28. Mantled Guereza

Ayyyyy let's go. Like 10 of my last top 30 are now in the game so I needed to adjust mine. Here we go!

  5. Asian Small clawed otter

  16. Black howler monkey
  17. Bush dog
  18. Ocellated turkey
  19. Helmeted Guinea fowl
  20. Ground hornbill
RG apologies, I had to edit. I thought I had the otter already but I miscounted. Switched out the moose in favor for that.
I missed that we can add five animals to our original list. Allow me to add these to mine:
  • Arabian leopard
  • South Island Takahe
  • Any sloth
  • Ocelot
  • Bennett's wallaby
I added in the 5 animals I added to my last after the list was expanded.

6 of my chosen animals have been added. Their replacements are:
  • Himalayan monal
  • African crested porcupine
  • South American coatimundi
  • Roseate spoonbill
  • Secretary bird
  • Any species of kiwi
That's all 3 existing posts for my lists. Just to make it simple my list looked like this:
  1. Tasmanian devil
  2. Common wombat
  3. White-handed gibbon aka Lar gibbon
  4. Hamadryas baboon
  5. Iberian lynx
  6. White-nosed coatimundi
  7. Persian leopard
  8. Sichuan takin
  9. Matschie's tree kangaroo
  10. Black howler monkey
  11. Bush dog

  13. Helmeted Guinea fowl
  14. Ground hornbill
  15. Arabian leopard
  16. South Island Takahe
  17. Any sloth
  18. Ocelot
  19. Bennett's wallaby
  20. Himalayan monal
  21. African crested porcupine
  22. South American coatimundi
  23. Roseate spoonbill
  24. Secretary bird
  25. Any species of kiwi

If it's allowed, I'll remove the two leopards and the gibbon from my wishlist and add the serval, grey-crowned crane, and North American porcupine. If it's not allowed that's just as fine.

The gibbon surely is not allowed to be removed from your list because it is a completely Differerent species than the Siamang and there were already some others who wanted to remove similar species like the Iberian Lynx and the Red Deer after the last DLC. It is because it means more work for random goat as heute then has to put away votes, too.

How it is handled with the leopards by Random Goat, I do not know. As it is a subespecies and the only one which was more or less subdivided in the list, it could be allowed. But random Goat has to answer this.

If I may campaign again for the Northern Luzon Giant Cloud Rat…

If you’re not sure what to add to your updated list, consider this: a giant panda rat! They are semi-arboreal, bigger than a prairie dog and only slightly smaller than a koala, and don’t live in huge social groups, so they’d be a great option for filling space with a smaller exhibit or for an indoor habitat. They only live in Luzon, in the Philippines, and so far the only animal we have from this area is the binturong.

I have seen them both at the Smithsonian National Zoo and at the Bronx, so I know they can be successfully kept in zoos. They’re slow-moving yet fun to watch shuffle around and forage. If you’d like to add a unique and underrated animal to your zoos, consider the Northern Luzon Giant Cloud Rat!

Here’s a baby!
