It seems lateral and vertical thrusters are weaker in Odyssey compared to Horizons which in turn gives us Odyssey auto-dock/lauch issues. Best ship to see the difference in is the Imperial Cutter.
https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/44533Not doubting your observation but it seems unlikely they would have changed the code for this in EDO - why would they?
Maybe you observe some performance issues triggered by something else in your system with the EDO version.
I see that the issue has been reported for some time without being acknowledged by FDEV nor raising votes to a higher degree. Again, I am not doubting your observation but the root cause remains unclear. Could be triggered by a lot of reasons not necessarily a bug with the thrusters code as such. I hope it will investigated, especially if many CMDRs are experiencing the same.
It couldn't be something as boring as the general performance hit?It seems lateral and vertical thrusters are weaker in Odyssey compared to Horizons which in turn gives us Odyssey auto-dock/lauch issues. Best ship to see the difference in is the Imperial Cutter.
Physics engine should be based on time, not frame rate. So can't see how performance would be an isssue. It couldn't be something as boring as the general performance hit?
Indeed. I was just wondering if a performance hit maybe made movement seem slower.Physics engine should be based on time, not frame rate. So can't see how performance would be an isssue.
In those videos you can see difference plaining by looking at the UI speed indicator. In Horizons it decelerates much faster than in Odyssey.Indeed. I was just wondering if a performance hit maybe made movement seem slower.

Fair enough. In those videos you can see difference plaining by looking at the UI speed indicator. In Horizons it decelerates much faster than in Odyssey.

The green tick in the corner of the voting triangle means that it has been acknowledged by FDevI see that the issue has been reported for some time without being acknowledged by FDEV nor raising votes to a higher degree
My luck they'll fix this by nerfing thrusters in HorizonsIt seems lateral and vertical thrusters are weaker in Odyssey compared to Horizons which in turn gives us Odyssey auto-dock/lauch issues. Best ship to see the difference in is the Imperial Cutter.
I mean cutter felt like a beached whale to begin with.It seems lateral and vertical thrusters are weaker in Odyssey compared to Horizons which in turn gives us Odyssey auto-dock/lauch issues. Best ship to see the difference in is the Imperial Cutter.
I'd switch to horizon, but the mission boards are not as populated as Odyssey. My luck they'll fix this by nerfing thrusters in Horizons![]()
