Elite Dangerous: Odyssey | Additional hotfix | Text entry in game triggers associated actions from keybindings.

I started the game with patch 12.01. played for some time... noticed the bug on map, recalled the same issue in comms, went to the forums to tell that the same issue is in galaxy map also but found that the fix for this already has been released.
Perfectly timed, I find that's awesome.
Thanks!🥳

While grateful for the efforts - I'm still a bit disappointed with the need for another hotfix. Updates 12 & 13 were/are supposed to be for bugfix and QOL updates. There really, really shouldn't be new, major, game breaking bugs introduced in a patch like this.

First the release was delayed, then several game breaking bugs with U12 (many CTD issues, Anaconda's that can't land, eyebrows) which required a hotfix (12.01 and now we have a hotfix for the hotfix).... I know there are already lot's of complaint posts and my intention is not to just add to it - but this was supposed to be a bugfix release....

I think maybe an effort by Sally to explain why these things happen to FDev - why aren't these caught in a test suite? I would think testing the landing of an Anacoda on a planet would be included. Is there no automated test suite with ED? Is everything manually tested by developers by simply playing the game and looking for bugs? Why does this happed with every release? I try to give the benefit of the doubt, but I've been here a long time, and I work in software development and I can say that your test procedures are lacking - not trying to be disrespectful, but this literally is a repeating record with releases.

All testing and QA is done by players

I’ve had 5 crashes to desktop around Thargoid structures tonight. Seems like once I deploy the SRV, enter the structure, leave and board my ship a crash is inevitable. Going to SC, deploying the SRV again or transferring cargo will cause it. Not sure if this is U12 or something older. My first time entering them.

Is it just me or does everything look like it's squashed down vertically? First I thought that I someone crouching, but then I noticed that everything around me looked shortened. Anybody else have the same experience while on foot?

Just saying that this update seemed to me much better handled (compared with previous updates) including really fast progression of acknowledgement of bugs in issuestracker. Game works surprisingly well on my PC and there is also minimal amount of issues when playing ED (ODY) via GFN or Boosteroid. Yes, that additional issue with quick search bar in galaxy map was unwanted, but imo they need to balance time needed for testing vs release date and this game is not a small piece of software. Before was usually needed few additional fixes to make game playable at all and trying play on release day was only for these strong minded.

All looks normal to me. Screen resolution?

I wouldn't say it's squashed down, but I too had the distinct feeling that the POV is (sometimes) slightly higher than it used to be prior to U12.

That said, your own character and the NPC models seem a lot more "bouncy" on their feet (just run into the sides of the elevator and you'll see what I mean), so perhaps these are tied to each other.
