🐾 Planet Zoo - Update 1.10 coming 21 June 🐾

Those are brothers most of the time.
Actually that is a bit of an old fashioned understanding, in the wild many coalitions of males (sometimes up to five) are actually unrelated or are cousins rather than siblings. Many are colloquially still referred to as brothers but small groups of bachelors are often formed from different prides when they become independent and can spend many years together before they are strong enough to take over a pride. In zoos I think they are more often related and I do think it's more unusual to have multiple males and females kept as one pride. I'm guessing fights are more likely because the main drivers for coalitions to form (ousting other males and then taking and holding prides and a large territory) aren't really there.

On the choral behaviour, I'm pretty sure female lions also take part in territorial and group roaring so I think it would be great to have in game.

I dunno, I feel like that'll ruin the immersion, though. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it shouldn't be hard for sounds to link to these soundboards, kinda like how we can choose sounds for speakers, but automatic
Here's what it says and, yeah, it's ambiguous. Say's they can't be customized but says it's from your zoo animas. So, I dunno. Guess we'll find out.

  • Soundboard Station - press a button and hear a sound from one of the animals in your zoo! Did you know they make that sound?

I think it'll be similar to education boars. There will be a drop down menu showing the animals in your zoo and you can select one and those are the sounds it will play

Every new behavior enhance the game. There are so many that still could be implemented like:
  • mother and child interaction (feeding)
  • deep swimming for tapirs and monitors,
  • burrowing for larger animals like wolves
  • chorus behavior for primates like lemurs and chimps
  • nesting for birds
  • interspecies interactions
The list is endless 🤩

Females definitely join in! I actually thought of lions doing group vocalisations before I thought of wolves. I hope we get lions added in in future. (Source: was a lion keeper).
