Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

This is my current load-out.
It's geared towards bounty hunting, but can double up as an all rounder.

Any comments?

Thanks for the tips everyone.

I've added a couple of SCB's and a heatsink launcher. These are bound to a single key on my streamdeck, so far seems to work really well.

Re: Dogfights - It's certainly not as nimble as my Vulture, but with FA witchcraft, I can mostly stay on target, and take out most ships in less than a minute.

I have turreted beams on secondary fire, so fire and forget. Gimballed MC's on primary.
I normally wait until target is under 1.5Km then rip em to bits with MC's ;)

Thanks again for the tips and advice :)

If you need a trigger for anything else you can have both of those on one trigger, a quick blip starts the turrets off then hold it down when you want the gimbles to join in. I do that and have a KWS on secondary.

A five biologicals planet with all sampled and an interesting sky colour.
Yes I do go fully armed when scanning biologicals, would you trust an alien plant that looked like them.

I think I'd like to try some on foot stuff, as I haven't done any since starting out.

Not sure if I will like it - Then again, I didn't think I would like combat, but I seem to have an evil streak in me several thousand kills later :devilish:

It's worse than I thought!

Can anyone recommend a good therapist 😂😂😂

OK, I'm getting the hang of how to fight with the Imperial Clipper now. It's seriously good fun when it's comes to rapidly killing a small number of targets. The double shot frag cannons with incendiary rounds take out most shields in a couple of volleys and firing off a heat sink at the same time as 2 x class 2 pack hounds fixes the heat problem. Heat sink has extra ammo and most targets don't need more than two volleys to destroy them.
It would be useless in a CZ or at the Haz Res since ammo doesn't last long, but the high damage, speed and agility make this possibly the most entertaining ship I've tried combat in, and I've tried most except Viper and Vulture. I just need to be careful not to catch up with the pack hound missiles and get in their firing line after firing them. I did manage to shoot myself once and suffer from the drag munitions on the missile.
I don't normally like off centre seating positions on a ship used for combat, but the cockpit view is completely unobstructed and I just cannot tell I'm sitting on the right side.
An awesome ship.
Don't tease me man~~~~ Too bad I don't have pack hounds yet. But I wanna try rail on the cutter then, given that railz are my fav. gunz now.

I have just switch back to rail K2 from vette, basically the same lazor/rail/slf combo except the agility. lots of fun.

Practiced a bit of reverski last night as I was over confidently taking on a wing of 1 deadly challenger, 1x IE and 1x iCourier.

The challenger consume my shield faster than I expected while I was handling those small craps.... they melted my slf so I have to boost away.
Not willing to give up the bounty, I charged my shield a bit then turn around and pwned those small ships from my rails' max range, reverski~!!!

SLF rebuilt and time to waste that challenger~! That was fast really. :devilish:

My proposed railz cutter . Not full G5 engineered, caused enough headache by just looking at the modules required to engineer 🤦‍♀️

Thinking of buying a brand new cutter specific for combat or just swap the modules to my existing one.... but then, talking about refitting, I have to whine about the crappy fitting UI where you cannot sort, filter your stored modules, I have to scroll through all 140+ stored modules for each slot...🤬

Given the above annoyance.... i decied to delay this project at the moment...

I'm a bad shot with rail guns. I'd say since you can hit targets with rail guns you will get faster kills this way than with pack hounds. But pack hounds are pretty and fun, so worth a try sometime. They are especially good at knocking out modules like thrusters on ships with no shields.
So if you have a fast agile ship that can catch up with and stay close to anything and point weapons in their direction, some double shot incendiary round frag cannons take down shields and pack hounds take out the drives. Then stop the target ship spinning through space by placing your ship in it's path and the cargo stays in a nice clump after popping open the cargo hatch with hatch breakers. The Clipper is ideal for this with its 128t cargo bay... 😜

If you are interested in a rail Cutter, this video is worth a watch if you've never seen it before - all rail gun build:

Yay~~~ that's one of the teaching material for my railz training. All railz build is fun, but that limited my target selection, as I still cannot hit SLFs with rails. That's why I keep the gimballed lazor for small ships and especially the SLFs.

This is another video used to prep. my railz
