Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

I don't see the issue. SC has its promised PVP Slider. Chris would never promise something that doesn't happen...
My bad, I forgot the slider is still there… it will just not accesible to players through an UI element…

Quick question: Is the “ground breaking” AI/algorithm that will analyze player’s preferences ready yet? 🤣

Only another world war, 2 pandemics and 3 global recessions to wait through before 'it's done when it's done' then?...

Still, the global recession and rapidly mounting inflation are exactly the reasons I bit the bullet and decided to upgrade the PC a bit. Hardware prices for the moment are relatively low, the lowest they've been since before Covid anyway...but that's not going to last in this current economic climate.

All this has absolutely nothing to do with the buffoonery of Ci¬G and Star Citizen of course...but since PC gaming is now my only hobby, I didn't want to be sitting complacently by until I was practically forced to upgrade then paying astronomical prices for bits and pieces when the full aftermath of this lot drives those prices through the roof once again...and as sure as death and taxes, those prices are going nowhere but up.

YES ! It's based on the same AI model as the fantastic bartender (*), or the AI opponents in bunker missions. A real sight to behold, see what half a billion dollar budget spent on unconstrained ambition can produce ! Knowing that, I'm sure you'll rush and buy an Idris.

(*) definitely not just a "queue" in programming language, no, that would be hater talk mister.

Interesting thread. Wonder when the fact CIG seems to consider that Star Citizen has already been released (in Early Access) will become accepted as mainstream knowledge. Not just by the community and backers in general but also by the gaming press, and treated as such.

Well yes it's called global warming and the rather strange thing called glacier recession where they recede and eventually vanish altogether....sort of analogous to money gifted to CIG I suppose. These people don't think do they!
SC Glacier finally reaching release destination 3 centuries from now:

My PC was in bits...again. Fitted a new and bigger 360mm custom build AIO liquid cooler.

I suppose that's a bit like "The dog ate my homework." Even though it's true
The dog also ate the logs that are supposed to tell me why this installation has failed. I haven't uninstalled this waste of drive space yet, but I'm not spending any more effort on this nonsense.

You'd think they would make a reliable installer before focusing on swirly coffee and wrinklable bedsheets.
