Prediction of Azimuth saga conclusion

What I would like to see (if I let my imagination go wild) would basically be this:
...man I miss dust514 sometimes...
Dust-514-_TitanCrashed_2.jpg

But to be somewhat reasonable, I believe the weapon is going to misfire and awakens the guardian construct. Thargoids get so angry at us, that they send their real military forces aka the motherships. We make an alliance with the awoken guardians and gain access to their old databanks. We are now able to use their old ship blueprints and combat suits that are made to face the new threat.

I’m hoping for a game-changing event like the weapon misfires, draws in a ton of Thargoids, and most stations in the game get destroyed.

I expect a galnet article and perhaps a unique signal source spawning in the system, but otherwise business as usual.
I cannot imagine devs doing that deliberately to their players.

It is only the workers getting wiped tomorrow... The Drones should arrive a little later, surrounding the new Queen.

Plot twist: All those years humanity has only been fighting with a tiny and remote Thargoid colony. When Salvation destroys this colony with his WMD, the Thargoid Home Systems finally take notice of us and send a proper fleet to "politly" ask "You did WHAT now?"

salvation was smart enough to broadcast his secret plan on galnet.
the far god (a.k.a. thargoid mothership) will show up last minute.
just enough to keep us in the dark about if it was salvations intention or not.

An interesting assumption, somehow far god cult is included in the story, but no idea what is it for

The Thargoids are deprived of the ability to jump back into Whitch Space and therefore run amok (on foot), while the Gardian AI comes to life and takes over countless ships (or rather their COVAS). Every Commander in the vicinity spawns inside a Sidewinder and his original ship runs amok in the universe as a new permanent asset - this, or a dimensional gate opens to the Frontier Shop where you can buy bags of cheap salt!

My two coins?

Thargoids motherships arrive and send on foot troops to disable the weapon. Bugs incoming, and yes I think this on both ways 😅

Because when it is no on Planet Content, why not take out this mighty weapon in space.

Problem with making it too big - it clearly can't work perfectly, as intended, because that would remove Thargoid content from the game and that won't happen. Should've set the sights a bit lower, for something that could plausibly happen without having to do a ton of rework to the game.
