unfortunately unless i scrap the rules that i have played the game by since launch, i am likely a good 5 years off affording a FC.. and that is assuming i play at the rate i did pre child which seems unlikely. i am 3000 hrs into the game and have under 1.5bill to my name. it is possible when there is an outlier exploity thing which occurs again i may just hammer it as a 1 off just to get a FC and then bancrupt myself after getting it and securing it for as long as i can, but last time i "bent" some of my rules it completely pulled the rug out of any urge for me to play the game.

So alas, I may never get a FC. (I dont even have the rank for a cutter or corvette yet)

IF I did however that is exactly how i would use it, as a store for potentially CG goodies from mining.

just keep an eye for Tritium CG, with Type-9 you can make 350mln credits in one run IIRC. Will get you FC in one night.

For me, a mining CG is a "reward" for bothering to go mining routinely.

My FC has about 8000t of various ores stored on it.
There's a couple of thousand tonnes of spendy stuff but the rest is a broad selection of "mid-price" stuff which I'm not that bothered about selling.

When a CG like this comes up, I can just see what I've got in stock and flog it to the CG for a very good price... and help the CG too, of course.

Enough in my hold to get comfortably into the top 10% then spent the next few days emptying out the remainder, now got an almost empty carrier, enough space for another couple of months exploring - mining in the black.

it will come. I wouldn't worry about it. if I had to guess it is due to the CG finishing early. I reckon it will be there after the server tick thursday but even if not it will show up

I didn't take part (and already have the permit). But I wouldn't expect it yet, if it hadn't reached the end early the CG was only scheduled to end today. I'd expect it some time between tomorrow and next week's maintenance.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, if the system is in their plans for future content im sure there will be another opportunity, if not its probably no a biggy unless your a collector.
