Console Copy Portal : 'Database Error' [RESOLVED]

I'm not sure what to do to be honest. My name is available and I'm still getting the error. I've filled out the report you've posted above so I'll just wait and hope it gets addressed by day's end.
 
Hey @sallymorganmoore quick question, do we have to use our console commander name to get it to work or can we use a new one? Because I'd very much like to use a new one that was not available on xbox lol. When I enter it into the transfer process it accepts it instead of giving you the "this name has been taken" message. So I was hoping I could still use it.

Whatever name you want to use, you can use - Serror (as long as it's not taken, at which point yep, the system will tell you it's been taken).

Heya! I've JUST updated the thread again.
We're rolling out a fix for another potential fix for the error, but that won't be live until around...hmm...45 mins time. Have another go at around 19:00 BST o7

I'm able to logon to Horizons and all looks good but when I try logon to the Frontier store it fails. I was able to logon to this forum however with the new account.
I've tried a different browser and tried to reset the password but no luck. Any ideas before I log a ticket with support? I'd like to add Odyssey on and I beleive the way to do that is to buy it on the frontier store.

Is there a way to access the launcher by logging back into my frontier account after I get home from work? I wasn't sure if a Ticket was best to do instead.

So It should be noted, I suppose, that I used the same Cmdr. name... at least I thought I did. Anyway, my transfer took well over an hour and a half and was successful. Not sure if this is helpful in any way but I thought it may be relevant.

I did not delete any accounts etc...

This being said, I feel horrible for those of you who are still at this... it has been a long road my friends and every inch further pains.
I sincerely hope this gets sorted for those of you with issues.

Hang in there, we are all sooooo close.

Greetings Commanders.

With the release of the 'Console Copy Portal' we are seeing reports of several of you hitting continuous 'Database Error' when attempting to complete the process.

This is currently looking to be due to potentially linked to one of two issues:
  • One being the fact that your desired Commander name is potentially taken and the error isn't triggering (because you're moving through the process quite quickly).
    • I can't believe I'm typing this but whatever helps at this point: Try and slow down a little with moving between steps at this very busy time. This could help.
  • Another resolution could be ensuring Javascript is enabled.
ONE BIG EDIT: 17:43 BST
We have identified an issue on web side which could very well be the primary beast in the mix, if none of the above solve your issue.
We need to roll out a fix for this which is due to be embedded in the portal in a round an hour. Please do try again at around 19:00 BST.

i am having the same issue as well. my friend is able to log in but i cannot.

Terribly sorry Sally. Basically, on my work computer, I did the copy request and it was successful , but my work computer obviously won't let me download the launcher, since I have to wait until I get home to my personnal PC, is there a way to login and re-access the free copy ? Or is that account bound ? I'm just worried that I lost my chance to download the free copy of horizons.
