Honestly, ed is 6 years old and horizons also dropped idk 4 years ago. If you want to play with your friends, just buy odyssey. Its not that of an investment...

that is true, i have seen the DLC on cdkeys for like 4 bucks (legally) so it doesn't exactly break the bank.
the only thing about horizons is that it performs so much better,
so the $4 for the DLC may be followed by a $1000 upgrade requirement on personal Hardware.
I play edo on a 1060 6gb and a i7 4790k on high with partly ultra settings. Res to 1080p with 30fps+
So not the 1000$ hardware.
Sorry, but its 2022. If you want to play a modern Game, youll have to upgrade on some date. No way around that. And frontier needs to make money, otherwise the game will be gone.

So … having a stuck SRV will no longer be “load into base game” and instead “file a support ticket”?
Edit: also given that we will have separate hor4 and ody4 instancing … we still can’t play together on 4.0⁈
The original ED is still in my launcher if I scroll past Ody and Hoz, and original ED doesn't even have an SRV. Should do the trick?
No, if as an EDO owner I get stuck and need to launch 3.8, I can.
If it's a problem for a 4.0 owner, they can upgrade to EDO ...
As far as I understand it. Horizon 4 is just Odyssey, minus the legs and settlements. And no cross play.I'm so confused about all of the versioning right now

Got mine stuck on a crystal shard yesterday.
My technique is to get out, board my ship, and use the nose to nudge the SRV free. Works just fine.
And they will do that if they can guarantee to their legal department that some kid in horizons will NOT be able to carmageddon someone on-foot in Odyssey
And the event in Hip 22460, where people managed to fly the Srv from 10C (which was not permit locked) to land on 10B (which was permit locked)... well that event managed to prove, once more, that people can get really creative
