New red-orange dot approaching the bubble at 0.8ly per minute-- Thargoid mothership?

So, I know people looking following these around and playing around with the Rogue Signal Sources noticed <redacted>... and while I don't like to go near that sort of thing normally, I just want to throw this one on the table. I reckon that's just the side-dish.

Systems/Stars can't go missing, that's not how the galaxy simulation in Elite Dangerous works, you remove stars you change the mass of the sector and that carries over to the next sector and etc and causes a massive disruption in the galaxy, possibly resetting everything we know about the galaxy, so no that wouldn't have happened.
Thanks for the explanation. Much appreciated.

Spiral pinwheel of doom going through the OOCHOST DW-T D4-7 right now. 13:50 GST. No rogue signals at this moment.
update: one rogue sig source, heading there now.

I wonder if today's patch has altered them at all?
I would say yes. The pinwheel is not jumping all over the place. It's stationary, ahead of me heading towards the bubble.
Impossible to catch it.

The rogue signal is there and is producing a noise - have to run it through Audacity - impossible to join the instance of this thing now. It moves away from you like a pirate avoiding interdiction. I've gotten within 24 million meters of it and had to do an emergency FSD drop - nothing there other than the point you're aiming at, and as soon as you are at space normal, it's already 2 ls away and running from you. Apparently just a noise maker you're not meant to see, just hear.

UIAs are visible from very long distances again.

I have to wonder if this is another case of FD not having a grip on version control and that this is a regression from before the last patch "lens flare fix." 🤔

Here's the noise from the Rogue Signal Source. I'm wondering if they're every hour like most listening posts are, as there wasn't really a lot to this noise (for me, at least).

If someone wants to download it and play with the signal, please feel free to do so. Science, and all that.

not having a grip on version control
I bet they use perforce (pretty standard in the gaming industry), and I bet their developers complain about it 1000% of the time because it's complete garbage compared to git.

git branch - completes in nanoseconds because git is smart enough to know no data needs to change, just a new branch pointer and update HEAD

p4 branch - can take literally days as it copies everything, then on top of that all the developers need to download the new branch.
Oh, what's that? You should use p4 streams instead of branches? Ok... it also takes literally days as it copies everything, only now we can't set workspace mappings to exclude the terrabytes of artist assets we programmers don't need. $#@$ing perforce who designed this rubbish!

They use Subversion IIRC.

With a few extra datapoints, a quick look at where the (known?) UIAs might be headed. There's still a lot of uncertainty on these - especially for Slegi and Oochost signals where we have less data and each new waypoint can still move its destination estimate by 100-150 LY by the time it gets into the vicinity of the bubble. They are of course not necessarily headed for the same destinations, and while they don't appear to be right now - the Slegi one is coming in much lower than the other two so far - there's equally enough uncertainty that they could be.

Other than "more likely to destination(s) in the bubble than to the outlying nebulae" there is of course still a lot of uncertainty here.

I suspect Sol, Achenar and Alioth are going to burn for Christmas.
Princess Astrophel is going to feed stuffed escape pods to all her little helpers
With lavian brandy pudding and ammonia ice for dessert.

Probably mycoid canapés for starters, they’ve probably adapted and got a taste for it by now

The question is... are my ships safe in Shinrarta Dezhra?? 🧐

Edit: one good thing is that annoying First Apostle of the True Chapters could be impaled on top of the tree!

Probably as safe as anywhere else. Which might not be very.
