I'm in line with UIA #3 but according to this:Anyone seen UIA#1 recently? According to vector survey it should be in Col 69 Sector JG-W c2-0 or Col 69 Sector KB-W c2-0, but I can't see any sign of it?
Yeah after yesterday's bright green thing in both the departing system and the arrival system, I kind of thought that's what the tiny patch was for (apparently not for the "crotch panel" issue causing a CTD). In the target arrival for UIA #3 and can only hear it. Will have to log back in in an hour to see if it's getting nearby.I am tracking UIA #1 and can confrim it's headed to Col 69 Sector KB-W c2-0.
The small patch appears to have fixed the unintentional side effect of making the Anomalies visible at long distances again, so you'll be looking for the tiny red splotch again
OMG, you're right - should be 23:14 GST.Thanks - looks like the time is 23:14:53 (I misread as 14:53 also). Looks like it might be in deep space between the two systems at the moment.
Just reposting this from the Raxxla thread as it makes (somewhat) more sense here.
So it's Friday, and I'm bored at work, and this (likely) isn't really Raxxla-related, but....
Using Canonn's nifty 3D map of the UIA positions here:
https://map.canonn.tech/route_uia.html
Is it just me or if you zoom out (waaaay out) it looks like all three might be coming from the direction of the Formidine Rift? And one of the three from the permit-locked sector(s) whose name(s) escape me waaaaay out on the other side of the Rift?
It is also interesting that when you zoom in, none of them seem to originate in any of the presumed-Thargoid home permit-locked sectors closer to the Bubble shown on the map in grey spheres (Cone Sector, etc.). This all of course assumes you can extrapolate to an origin from their current routes, which is a big assumption if they are doing weird living-in-hyperspace timey-wimey wibbly-wobbly things.
I don't think Drew is out there anymore, <sniff> (on the forums, not the Rift - well, both I guess) but he might find this amusing if correct. Bit of a backhanded tribute of sorts maybe?
Edit: Also thinking back to the Formidine Rift logs and the mysterious signals detected and noises heard, and something "immense" being out there....

Edit: Bovomit Sector was the name I could not remember. It's been a while. It is still locked also. Interestingly, it is not on the Canonn map of permit-locked regions here, I guess they are still recovering from being hexedited... https://map.canonn.tech/permit-data.html
Sure, that may be where they are going (although I am not convinced of that based on the Canonn calculations and plotting, still too soon to tell) but I am talking about where they came from... which for an explorer who couldn't care less about pew-pew and the fate of the Bubble, is far, far more interesting.@clavain man, if I do so, for me the three flight-path are converging at HIP 22460.....
Interesting point, though - do FC's have weapons? I assume they do since they have to do something about those who loiter around the landing pads but have they ever had to defend themselves? They don't move around a lot so "escape" means a jump somewhere which takes 10 minutes to initiate.
There are two things in life you cannot avoidIf the Thargoids burn down the bubble and we have to flee for our lives Battlestar Galactica-style ... I hope at least the end of the human civilisations means we won't have to pay them the weekly carrier costs any more.
What about open only/ganker debates? There are two things in life you cannot avoid
Death andtaxesweekly carrier costs
Oh ... and Jehovah’s Witnesses...
There are three things...
That thing is in supercruise.FCs leave no visual trace as the move from system to system.
Megaships leave no visual trace as they move from system to system.
Mobile stations like Jaques leave no visible trace as they move system to system.
This thing had better be bigger than a Deathstar...
I want that ability to cross system instances in supercruise! That thing is in supercruise.
