Trash... the same garbage that was happening in HIP 22460 is happening with this CG.

Attacking a wanted ship that the security service is also attacking lands you wanted with bounties.

Really? Cmon. I was at the prison ship killing hostiles. Had no problems until I went to help the security guy, and now I have to find some place to pay off this bribe.
Security ships don't have to abide by no-fire zones, CMDRs do.

...Celestial Surveillance Hub is as well, but it's lawless so KWS required.
Doh, hate to lose a mount for KWS... and lol, just found out I haven't got a single one of those.
So it's shopping time and engineering to G5 Fast scan.
Tnx for the location tip.

Fake news!
i´m at the Compromised Nav Beacon in Cemiess right now. Triggerhappy CMDRs and wrecks of pirate ships everywhere.
happy to be wrong... could have sworn it was a regular nav beacon when i logged out last night. oh well, back to the killing fields :) happy days

Just dont spoil it by looking on inara for the Kill values needed the 10% value is low...
Think people are holding on to the values as its only "Weak pirate ships" lol not combat zone kills...
Oh I know the goal post will have moved by the time I get home from work today, I’ll probably be bumped down to Top 50% by now.
I’m just glad after months away from the game that my combat skills aren’t as rusty as I thought they’d be and after one 2 hour session I wasn’t far from the top.

ok, I had to fly there to see for myself
that is beyond 'bug'
some effort before the CG to make the system identical in BOTH Odyssey and Horizons would have been useful, smart, and far less likely to SHOWCASE a Glaring BUG.

not to mention way too many carriers, like flying in stew...

re: Cemiess !!

WHY is there a CNB in Odyssey?
WHY is there a Nav Beacon in Horizons?

A BH CG in a system that has both states depending on which version of the game you enter, Class!

1 - ONE - uno, place in the system to bounty hunt easily but made complex because it is only visible, available if you play in Odyssey.

just can't hit it with words to express.

fwiw, this type of bug is the kind of thing that makes it pointless to search for things like RAXXLA !!!!! extreme irritant! bug spray is friendlier. uncool.
sooooo disappointing to see.
this is NOT how a NAV works. this is an important key feature to the entire game. broken in a CG.

they do, this is a very poorly timed bug, and should not exist, and due to it being in the midst of a cg in the cg system, maybe, just maybe someone should look into it.....

an alternative, if I were in control of this system
I would ruin the CG by flipping the system, and LL has the power to do it fast. (already ruined IMO)
then I would restore it afterwards.
then if you want to do a proper cg
check the system, make sure it is functioning correctly in ALL versions

start again, but do some homework.

and LL has the power to do it fast.
No they don't - minimum time to flip a system that's not already in a control conflict in ideal circumstances is 6 days, so you get part of one tick (about two hours of Thursday's) to equalise influences over a >20% gap in a 10-billion population system, plus you've got the CG transactions working against both that equalisation and fast-tracking the subsequent conflict ... and if you somehow succeed against all the odds it only takes out the last 12 hours of the CG anyway.

...and having gone to all that effort people would still be handing in bounties from one of LL's many other systems, so it'd barely slow down those 12 hours either.

So the nav beacon is not compromised in 3.8? That's odd - I thought 3.8 and 4.0 shared the same BGS..
CNBs are slightly weird in the BGS in that their appearance depends on a bunch of hidden variables as well as the obvious ones. So some systems have (apparently) permanent CNBs, some have ones which depend on the faction in control, and some have ones which depend on the state of the faction in control.

It's not impossible that there's a 3.8 bug which means it's not processing that data correctly when generating the instance.

apologies as this is not the right thread for this..

it would be way too much effort to go to, just to ensure the nav is in the correct state. when it has no real effect on the system.

fwiw, I said flip earlier because it is the faction in control of a system combined with a certain system trait that determines which state the nav will be in.
means this is a BGS glitch, that should NOT exist.
when was the system last under control by a different faction? this is more than likely the state from waaaaaay back then.
either way, it should be identical in any version of the game.
I don't see how its history could be relevant to this anyway, that is so ancient, to have been lost and re-written upon EVERY major update that has damaged BGS.
but just say 'Odyssey', explanation enough. still sooo many loose 'wires'.

fwiw, I said fast, I did not give a time, a month might do it. any other faction might take months or years to even budge it.
to assume a person is lacking or is a fool or is not intelligent has a definite affect on the spelling of certain words. phrasing does not make it invisible.
and wow, no they don't? like one of the largest player groups doesn't have the power to flip a system? fascinating.
I have been an honorary member of LL, they have the power and then some.
you seemed intent on twisting what was said, why?
Have you not watched them in action before?
they can put that system into lockdown before sunday. that's enough. there are always alternate methods.
only 1 lever needs pushing to break the system. 3 will make it faster.

it is very clearly a bug AS STATED, or fdev did it intentionally.

the prg I wrote many years back goes to the trouble of noting all bodies, etc into my db. this is a first of its kind. and I cannot count how many times I have been in Cemiess, but never in Odyssey until today.
I personally have flipped 5 intentionally. and several more just by way of normal playing.

Wow, Horizons 3.8 is completely and utterly empty these days... At least at this CG.

😥

UPDATE - there are a few players in 3.8 at this CG, but not many, at least not in Open. I'll keep watch as the weekend goes on, because often CGs get more players at the end of a weekend rather than the beginning for reasons unknown.
