Autumn DLC Speculation

For sure this means we are getting either an animal or additional walkthrough exhibits as the December dlc
Perhaps the bats are a test for what’s to come
Either way we are still in the dark as to what’s coming up next

The Red Fox was requested. It is place 20 on the meta wishlist only one vote behind the Kiwi. And yes, it is an iconic animal. Now we have three different foxes which are all unique in color and the place they are living (cold, temperate, warm).
Yes and i think we are all set on "iconic" foxes even though i'll be missing the gray fox and the bat eared fox :)

Before people on here get confused: The theme of the pack is only „Halloween“ or „spooky“ by a small ratio: Most of the pieces are going to go in the direction of European Castles, Villages and overall Cottagecore-buildings. Also, this pack might have the best foliage this game has ever seen: Fallen leafs, the trees, mushrooms, foxgloves, some kind of fern-thingy (in the raccoon shot at the end). These all look frickin amazing!

And for the animals: I love the wombat and skunk, I really like the raccoon and fox (People underestimate the impact of these with all the color morphs listed on the steam page) and I‘ll just have to wait and see if the bat works good or rather ok.

The skunk is exotic to some people though - I've never seen a wild skunk or raccoon because they don't live in my country, but I often see them in zoos. I'm really excited to see these guys in the game.
I've never seen them irl either but still think they are kind of basic :p The raccoon will be fun for sure though. And i do think skunks are cute. I just don't see myself using them more than once to check them out.

Wait guys your mad about a gothic inspired scenery pack and call that "too themeparkey"?
Gothic is a great architectorial design type and it will be of great use to make historic and older looking buildings.
+ this will be propaply one of the best packs for builders because of that exact reason.
I think the architectural pieces look great but I’m not thrilled about things like the gargoyles and giant mushrooms. I’m also a bit nervous that the animal signs could be overly themed and not that useful. But I have an open mind to the pack overall.

I think it's more the glowing mushrooms, jack-o-lanterns, bubbling cauldrons, cobweb tables etc. That's really themed for a zoo game.

Well probably a bit late for this but this is definitely a suprise and really exciting pack. North America finally sees another batch of filler animals which forest habitats can have the racoon and skunk and complementing the Badger which Europe pack have us. Oceania gets a key species in the form of wombat so the goal of making an Australian zoo finally edges closer and the red fox is a fantastic addition to Europe as one of the most iconic european animals (imo).

The most exciting addition to me is the fruit bat which bridges the gap between we aren't getting birds from maybe exhibit birds in winter. African exhibits finally get something other than the puff adder/scarab beetle. I'm actually glad this isn't a nocturnal pack since gothic architecture is so so exciting with proper round spire roofs, the empty gap of European architecture has finally been filled. Medieval castle architecture is a very niche part of europe with gothic far more common

I also forget to mention - LEAVES finally leaves for ground animals

Thank you for this comment. For me it looked like a really halloween and themepark heavy pack at first but apparently I'm wrong, so I'm sorry for my negative vibes. The foliage indeed sounds very good and useful to use.

Still, I don't need the red fox although you all are right, it's an iconic species and many people wanted one, so I hope you all are happy. But please notice that I (and probably some others) have a different personal wishlist, and I personally don't need a red fox (just like I didn't need the badger in the Europe pack). :)

Completely acceptable and grounded response 👍 Grass was touched.
