Planet Zoo: Twilight Pack arriving 18 Oct 🦇

Okay, somehow, with all the signs that this would be a woodland or nocturnal animal pack, Frontier managed to throw us yet another curveball! Now that the initial hype had died down a bit, here are my more coherent thoughts:
Raccoon: It's fine. It was never one of my most wanted animals, but it's still an okay choice.
Common Wombat: I'm really looking forward to this guy. That's another animal crossed off my Oceania checklist.
Striped Skunk: In a pack full of small animals, this one's probably the smallest. A good choice to fill in those smaller spaces in our zoos.
Red Fox: I really hope this is the last fox we get. I'm okay with it, but overall it's the animal I'm looking forward to the least.
Egyptian Fruit Bat: I never expected the exhibit animal to be the one I'm most excited for, but here we are. I can't believe we're actually getting bats! Really looking forward to seeing how walkthrough exhibits work.
Scenery: I really hope the building pieces aren't dominated by Halloween scenery. Thankfully from what I've seen that doesn't appear to be the case.

Yeah tbh, I don't know. Like, if I can't control the aviaries, can't have mixed species, can't make things like tropical houses were birds and mammals/reptiles live together... I'd maybe say I wouldn't want them at all either. Perhaps I'll change my mind, but unless I see some big changes in the limitations of exhibit boxes and it gives me the ability to do more than "here's a box you're confined to" my hype for birds is already destroyed 😅

I agree with @markuns point of view on this.

But even if we end up with just an exhibit system, a null barrier kind of system could at least get us far with implying that we can do all this, if it is done right.

That seems like something that should be fairly easy to implement in the game.

It sort of depends on the aviary. My local zoo has a huge "free-flight" aviary for native forest birds, and they fly a fair amount, especially the kakariki, bellbirds, and tui. The wood pigeons don't so much. They also have a sulphur-crested cockatoo in a smaller aviary and she just climbs around. In fact, she's so opposed to flying that they let her out every now and then just to stretch her legs.

Did they? This is just a nocturnal pack with less interesting species and a different name.

Edit: Perhaps I'm being harsh. I'm excited to try out the fruit bat. I just wish a "Twilight"-themed pack would have something like the crested porcupine.

my overall about planet zoo: twilight dlc!
Let's start of course with the animal roster:
  • Raccoon: I know there is peoples that not big fan of raccoon but I'm in love with them they are so adorable, they are so naughty they are so unique! and frontier just NAILED them!
  • Common Wombat: probably my most exciting habitat animal in the pack! they just so cute and now slowly oceanina starting to get representation! but yea can't wait to see how they looking also I'm curious if they would make a new marsupial animation
  • Striped Skunk: not animal that I was expecting to see in this dlc or in general in the game but for me they are very welcome addition! they are very unique and we still didn't have anything like that in the game so very cool! can't wait to see how they looking!

but I also have too much questions about the bats and the new exhibit:
  • if we got a new size of exhibit It's mean when it will launch I would see more sizes? I'm so hopeful!
  • the exhibit have to be walk through or there is option or just another variation of this exhibit but not as walk through?
  • how the bat going to work it would be just like looped animal or just like habitat (sleeping,eating,drinking,flying,communicate,playing....) but in exhibit? I'm really hope this is the case cause then it would be just amazing!!
  • how the exhibit going to look out side? just a black box or we have more freedom and It's null barrier? again hope that's is the case!
  • and the last thing is how it will work with the new feature from the update the Educator Exhibit Demonstrations will work with new exhibit and also how it will work like frontier u add for exhibit like small gate??
and scenery: very unexpected I'm think we all didn't really though that this dlc would be a scenery pack! but I love it even though I was hoping for animal pack, but I definitely not complainant I love scenery so much! but I was hope to see more animals but ok! so the scenery are really really really good! even if u don't build a halloween theme still if you are creative enough you can use any scenery there and make it look even more realistic yea there is some things that very overtheme but that really nice for who loves to build a halloween park or something like that! so yea I'm really loving all the new scenery! ALSO the foliage are just phenomenal I'm sure I will use every plant in this dlc!
enrichment items: we have only one pumpkin ball which is nice in the last two packs there is really lack of enrichments but I'm think It's cause frontier adding in the last two updates (include this dlc & update) adding more behaviors to animals so that's totally fine! but yea that all my overview for the annoucement maybe I will make another one when the dlc & update will launch on the 18th of october!

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Do you want to kill me? I'm excited for the pack as is, adding a porcupine on top would give me a heart attack. Toooo much cuteness in one pack.

The three species I was hoping for the most in a "nocturnal/twilight" pack were the porcupine, devil, and kiwi. Hopefully they'll still all make it in one day because it feels like a huge missed opportunity to me.

Nice positive energy, to many people are hating too quick. And about the exhibits... i think they dont have to be walkthru just dont put a path thru it?

I think that it will be a box, but will have relatively plain decoration to its walls and to its interior. I think, like the exhibit boxes in game, it will have the options to add wall ‘backdrops’, as well as enrichment items like feeders and hanging lights. But, the walls of the exhibit in the screenshot provided look like they could be completely customised if a builder wanted to!!!

yea I don't understand why this dlc not make for some peoples get hyped like leave that u maybe have more prefer for what u want to see like I also have a much prefer like I'm just dying for crested porcupine yea It's still haven't include but that's not mean we wouldn't see it in the game and that's always the same for peoples who wants for example aviary or aquarium or whatever dlc that It's didn't happened in this dlc It's not mean we will never seeing any flying animal u see today was annouce a freaking fly animal yea It's not bird but It's still amazing that frontier implement it to the game is wow! so yea everyone have the prefers but still u got a new content!! at some point there wouldn't be anymore dlcs for planet zoo unfortunately but you want another year of support? just playing the game continue buy dlcs cause if they see very hyped and happy about new dlc they would know peoples still love this game so much and exciting about every new content they give us that's what will make them continue to make a new content!only yesterday in the livestream was more then 500 peoples in stream! which is just insane for game that almost lived 3 years! so really guys let's try to be more positive of course It's fine to tell what u would like to see and that's kind of stuff cause then frontier know what u and all the community want and at some point they probably will add this! so yea...

oh I'm so hope It's just to put path cause then u have more options but I'm think we have to wait and see!
