How to crash SC servers and some amusing bugs.
Ahh that's how they did it

Was enjoying this walking bomb last night...
Didn't realise it'd be bullet proof too

(FWIW head-butting ships didn't always go to plan...)

I don't visit this forum for a week and I miss an absolute classic.I don't know why you and so many others you are laughing at SC not being released yet?
Cyberpunk wasn't released for 7 years, then when it finally was it ruined the reputation of a studio that was considered the last trustworthy one, because of the "games are an art philosophy. And two main reasons why it is released in such a terrible state was;
1) Investors want a return.
2) Fans like yourself also thought it wasn't going to be released, laughed and joked at them, like you are doing here, other fans sent death threats to staff at Project Red for it not being released. How funny is that?
Then, when it was released, the same people started throwing their teddies out the pram as to why it was so broken. Permanently, damaging the rep CPR. Still even after 2 years of the games release. The game still isn't finished, it still has bugs and annoyance is places. Like lots traffic ahead in the distance on empty desert roads with no vehicles, because of the way they animate vehicles in the distance as 2D back drop and 3D for near to medium. So even with no cars on the road, it looks like there is a traffic jam ahead in the middle of an empty desert. But I love it, it's clear they love the game and trying to make how they always wanted it to be.
The same goes for Elite, FDev still haven't replaced the place holder mechanics upon release with the updated more in-depth ones. Trading is still almost the same mechanic as it was 8-years ago, exploring is the same as it was 8 years ago, with a few little things added and factions has remained almost unchanged in 8 years of development. Still very basic core mechanics, releasing updates that do nothing but add new doors to the same old place holder mechanics. IT's why to me, it's so disappointing, it's been developed nowhere near enough in the last 8 years.
Star Citizen is a very ambitious project. It is not something that they can create overnight. It's a monumental task what they are doing. And step by step they are getting. I have been keeping eyes on the game as it slowly gets fleshed out. And I am rooting for them. I am not going mock them; people mocked No Mans Sky and Cyberpunk 2077. Look where they are now.
Yet when you look at ED, and what they have achieved in the same time frame with a game that was released, it's nowhere near enough. They haven't released planets with atmospheres yet, only a select few, no flying in gas giants, no flying and walking over Earth Like planets and not even upgraded its core mechanics. CQC, Powerplay and Odyssey all failures in their own rights.
It took 9 years of development for Cyberpunk, 8 years of development for not much to change in elite, Rare's new MMO looks like it will still take another 7 years to complete. Destiny cost $500 million to make and was released with a DLC included, hidden behind a pay wall, IIRC.
I love the look of the new Squadron 42, if they get the flight mechanics right, it's going to be a winner and I am going to get a copy of myself. So what if take a few more years to arrive? As they say, all good things to those who wait. And if hopefully the added funds will go towards finishing Star Citizen.
Games are huge in today's world, vast, complex, detailed, expensive and time consuming. I am sick of seeing this garbage being aimed at SC. I would be really disappointed if it did collapse and never got released, I paid no money in to it, but it will be a loss as it looks like it could be something special, just like ED once did.
Best part is the "I paid no money in it" and go full fervent warrior. What is this? some kind of justice feel? Did we wrong SC too much? Did we get an entry into the Book of Grudges?I don't visit this forum for a week and I miss an absolute classic.
It was publicly traded before he bought it, if you held it before he paid you ~$54 per share, some people did pretty well out of that, especially as the share price dipped much lower than that while he was trying to back outIf Twitter were publicly traded I would have short sold it the day Elon Musk bought it. How do I know this - I tried to find it on the stock markets and found it's not listed.
Same with CIG. My Xmas wish this year is the same as it has been for the past 10 years. Oh Katamari up in the sky, make Saint Roberts have the greatest idea for raising even more cash by floating CIG on the stock market.
He's majority shareholder. Think of all he could earn. As long as people buy the stock..
You want to upgrade to a 128k Spectrum. What do you expect if you are still using the potato 48k?If FPS is less than 1, does that make it SPF?
CIG can’t claim it’s never been done before because I’ve definitely seen it playing Driller on my ZX Spectrum![]()
I can think of games that have bombed beforeTruly never been done before.
Behold the beast I bought from Dixons when they were selling off old stock at a tenner each - so beastly it looked like the keyboard itself had a heatsink! You want to upgrade to a 128k Spectrum. What do you expect if you are still using the potato 48k?

Bah, it's the small memories that made devs think about lean data generation. Proc-genned worlds were the reason we got games like Elite and Lords of Midnight.Behold the beast I bought from Dixons when they were selling off old stock at a tenner each - so beastly it looked like the keyboard itself had a heatsink!

(There was never a huge amount of 128k exclusive games as I recall - I think I had Renegade & Daley Thompson’s Supertest that were “enhanced” - but if I’d had the 128k modded version of Elite back then that I’m playing currently, I doubt I’d have as many qualifications)
Two games that I’m still regularly playing all these years later, though Elite is modded and LoM is the “enhanced-retro” version on my phoneBah, it's the small memories that made devs think about lean data generation. Proc-genned worlds were the reason we got games like Elite and Lords of Midnight.
Yeah, got the phone version, too. I never beat the game back then but with the map at hand it wasn't so hard. Bard's Tale with minimap does help a lot, too.Two games that I’m still regularly playing all these years later, though Elite is modded and LoM is the “enhanced-retro” version on my phone![]()
Meh, if you keep driving that bad to jazz music you will never pump up the viewer numbers. Gotta say that perspective is a thing that shapes your perception. I use 3rdP cam for car driving in CP but 1st person is so much more immediate.OK so I've exposed my lovely VR channel to the ravening hordes :/
Uploaded most of my silly SC vids:
Star Citizen: Blasts from the Past
Histories of various perpetual reworks: Persistence, pipe system, mobiGlas etc
Star Citizen: Daft Stuff
Just music vids, bug compilations, bad lip reading, stuff like that
Feel free to share / intone 'IT'S COMING TOGETHER' in the comments![]()
