So I bought Elite on my Xbox today, Loved it on PC and PS4, but not longer have either. Thought I'd take the dive and got it again. Started playing all was well, Tutorial ran fine, but I have had nothing but constant Screen Freezing since. Happened jumping to systems, flying towards a mining site, inside the space station so their is nothing i can put my finger on that's causing the issue. I've read that people say it due to overheating, which is not the case, Xbox is cool and unchanging when playing other games. This is completely killing my vibe to play and I'm unsure if this is an issue that is being looking into, or if anybody has any idea on how to deal with the problem.

The title is fully dead now since around march 2022 for all consoles and PCs that run 3.8 client ...
There are NO updates for the title unless 4.0 server changes cause login failure on 3.8 so ZERO work is being done...
Apart from server connection issues and paint skins, No updates will be offered...
when EDH 4.0 was offered to PC for example the Console connections were not disabled as it did not affect the servers at all so no update for console...
NO work will be done...
BC with last gen titles from AMD Chip set is not 100% so all Next gen consoles have "new" errors...
You want to stay out of systems that have high FC count... As Next gen systems rearly get a chance for the Client to put up an error code and will crash to dashboard or freeze instead of saying Sidewinder or Cobra the game just fails...
Look at nvidia Geforce Now in the Xbox web browser this will allow the steaming the PC client on the Xbox hardware if ping time to your location from servers is low enough...

I still enjoy the 3.8 version, but refuse to pay full price for it since they took it off Gamepass. I think it's very unethical to sell the game for full price on consoles knowing full well that new players have no idea about the state of the game for consoles. And when they do go to the ED website they're presented with Odyssey information and have to look at the fine print to see it's not available for consoles. It's on the verge of a bait-and-switch tactic. They either need to reduce the price to a level, say $5-10 range, that acts as a signal to new players that you're getting an outdated game.
There are many "sales" of the title so Fdev dont charge the old full price, its not in Microsoft interesrt to have permanent sale reduction as it reduces their 30% cut but its normally <$10 on Xbox... Horizons is no longer DLC but default offering as was on PC...
The price is virtually constant reduced value lol..
Edited: I stand corrected! On sale on Xbox for $7.49 through Black Friday it seems.
