Warning, there may be traces of tinfoil
So, I've been curious about the Thetis incident since the first time it was discovered, immediately afterwards I went on an expedition in the surrounding systems, trying to find a candidate for the signal source. The trail unfortunately... went cold...

I don't know if it's encoded message or just a bug, but either way I've decided I should record it before "solving" it by restarting my game.
I can hear this occasionally when I drop out of SC or retract my hardpoints, but on the station it seem to happen...
So I've gone and stumped our RP group with a double layering of hidden information in our own little Thargoid signal easter egg hunt. Instead of giving away the secret, I thought it would be a great thing to push out to all you amazing people, especially those who decoded the original signals...
I wanted a bit of scout action for me and my npc, as I have done before....
I searched the gal maps for an incursion sate system and as of today there are 2 of them (south of the bubble).
I jumped to one of them, FSS scanned the system - not a single NHSS.
From previous recollection...
So, i have already read & made many posts about how the new FSS makes it much slower to get quick and honestly, quite important information, so that an explorer can judge if a system is truly notable and worth visiting.
However, while a loud minority HAVE complained, there hasn't been that many...
Hello.
One thing that is bothering me quite a bit after exploring for some hours is the Locations Scan on the top right of the screen when you are scanning a planet in FSS.
I just dislike the way that after a scan of an airless body with volcanism active the system can not only tell me exactly...
Show already visited planet's "notable signals" and change it's name to the feature (i.e. Geyser)
Hello.
I'm currently exploring and trying to fill my codex with every type of geological features, and I think some small changes to the UI would make it a lot easier!
Some planets have +30...
Greetings!
Backstory: I'm an aging commander who was complaining about no audio notification for USS ('Discovered new signal source' in supercruise) BEFORE finding out that at ~30% SFX volume (options>audio on PC) I simply cannot hear them over ambient/engine noise.
Turning up percentage to...
Couple new utility mount ideas:
1) Data Dish/Receiver - Something you could put on your ship to interact with a starport without having to dock with it. Once you get within range (ie maybe 7,500m) this would allow you to complete any task where there isn't something physically being exchanged...
o7 all, is anyone having having trouble finding HGE's at all? Been whizzing around the sweet spot in a few systems for well over an hour and yet to find a single one :(
My method currently is to scan nav beacon/fly to target interstellar body/orbit up, down and around until MRSS pops. Sometimes this takes seconds or many many minutes. In some circumstances I just give up fly away, go do something else for a few hours, fly back and boom the MRSS pops instantly...
As of right now it seems pretty random how these things spawn. My method is to scan nav beacon, super cruise close to planet/moon/star and orbit around in till it pops. This can takes seconds, sometimes many... many minutes. Heck, sometimes I never find it and just give up.
I love the profits...
Hello,
I think it would be nice to allow the players to send the (maybe long-distance) distress signal which would mark the ship on the radar, so nearby players (or even NPC system security) could come to help.
Reason? I can think of four, actually. 1) We all know grievers that just kill...
Proposal: Add a 3rd option to the Beacon function Menu
Purpose: Make grouping larger numbers of players in an instance less cumbersome.
Description:
Proposal for a 3rd option to the Beacons Menu called "Local" that will put a marker on everyone's ship scanners within a certain distance so they...
this seems .. relevant...
