Given the STEAM numbers lately, he's not alone.
In July ED normally has between 3000 and 4800 players. Last year's lockdown thingies had a one-off boost to 7000. Other than that, this year's July has the highest steam charts number in its history, despite many countries finally opening up again.

Was EDO's launch disappointing? Sure. Could the numbers have been higher? Yes. Is ED doing poorly in player numbers this July? No.

But will ED pull the milky money udders a bit more? The numbers are not growing which after a major update is a bit of a problem.

If you didn't delete your actual CMDR, maybe there's something to come back to in the future. Walking away from a game that you've put hundreds, sometimes even thousands of hours into can be a tough pill to swallow. If you're on PC, might want to give SC a try. From what I've seen of it lately, the updates, patches, and additions are coming at a very steady rate. Either way, take a break from the game as well as these forums. As you can see, the usual suspects come out in droves to crap on threads they don't like when they could have saved some time and not said anything at all.
White Knight damage control. Just observe from distance and judge intelligence accordingly. They want to kill negative threads with their jibberish and no mod is stopping them as usual
