1.1 collision damage

Strange... I seem to remember that ships were about this easy to blow up by nudging things at some stage in Beta, then at was adjusted to the levels we had up until 1.07 to pretty much universal approval.

So now we are going back? Interesting....

I think I may just sit on the sidelines for a few days whilst the dust settles, I think I'd rather take on a dumbfire camper than a nudging camper. You can dodge dumfires if you are quick enough, and the dead dumfires littering the area are a good warning sign...

I don't really want to risk losing 5m cr, and the outpost I'm docked at has no shipyard, so no hope of buying a cheaper ship just to screw around for a few days.

Z...

You're obviously just an entitled carebear who wants a easy mode. /FD shilling

Look, if you love it hardcore, it's fine, wait for "ironman" to be deployed and ram your sidewinder into a wall as soon as youcan, I however prefer games that are actually fun to play so please FD, we need this hotfix asap !

Anyway, this entire thread reminds me of the friendly fire thread not so long ago, were every smug idiots were spitting "working as intended" nonsense until a dev actually came in and basically said "this is a problem and we're fixing it"

can't wait for that to happen here so the "working as intended" imbeciles can FINALLY shut up...

To be fair, I think he was joking. x3

Not being funny here, but you lot have to be the worst pilots in the galaxy, you're all bumping into ships and wall and god knows what! Jeez learn to fly people ;)
I've had bumps and scrapes and never blew up. Shield got knocked down a notch but thats all. It rarely happens to be honest as I can sort of fly properly without ramming into stuff :)
TBH I haven't 'bumped' into anything in 1.1 yet, so I can't really say how 'bad' it is. But come on, learn to slow down, reverse, use thrusters and navigate properly :)

I am very much hoping FD will acknowledge and resolve this collision issue ASAP.. I will not be logging into 1.1 at all...

Its the amount of damage that is the issue.. And some people also instapopping with gear down 4km outside station... Its not right... Nothing to do with pilots skill..

Well I'm sorry, I just don't know anymore, see, that's how stupid they sound, even when someone is being sarcastic it sounds EXACTLY like they do...

Yea, it's really hard be satirical when there are actually people that stupid on this forum. There's some warped logic here that Anita Sarkessian herself would be jealous of.

....just to be sure, as it's hard to tell sarcasm anymore, but it's been confirmed that there is a legit collision issue. While it doesn't seem to affect all collisions, it does cause the occasional 'bump' that should have only dented your shield to blow you up, or severely damage you. Until it get fixed, while there is no guarantee the issue will happen to you during collisions, think of each bump as a game of Russian Roulette. ^_^

On the positive side - I didn't want to take my python or asp out of dock with this bug ongoing, so I revamped my old sidewinder and took it to the NAV beacon - had a blast! I took out an Anaconda (took me down to 76% hull though) and a Federal Drop ship. Really great fun after so much trading grind :)

Yeah, my post got burried, but I was wondering if someone has some images/video's of a cobra or such landing, because it feels like the landing gear (hitbox/physics?) are twice as long as they used to be? and this could be what is causing the landing gear issue? hitbox misalignments cause all kinds of issues.

Let's do this. The_Deer_Hunter_-_De_Niro_Russian_Roulette.png

xD The irony is I would likely have had a blast experimenting with this in the Beta, see how easy it is to crack my Anaconda like an egg, but I cannae afford the rebuy cost so many times in the main game! D: So into the hanger she goes, to wait for a time when the entire world doesn't seem to be composed of razors and lemon juice. ._.

Still, this is only the FORUM backlash. Given a pretty solid number of players have reported the issue in the forums (and generally speaking we forumites are a minority of the total player base) kind of wonder how many players who never visit the forums are tearing their hair out going "WHY DID I %*&$#&$ BLOW UP?!?!?"

Well at the very least 300000 bought the game, and there are only like 62k forum members, and while it does seem to happen, it seems to happen slightly less then posts would indicate?
