Patch Notes Update 1.6 and The Engineers (2.1) update incoming

Still getting validation error

What is the alternate upgrade method?

You access that via the OPTIONS menu in the standalone client " Alternative Download Method "

Mine seems to updating properly now , fingers crossed it completes without any validation errors.

This is just so basic for me, if i had full speed i would have the patch downloaded in 15 minutes, but no.. Steam plays its tricks on me again and gives nothing more than 200kb/s...

Hey Frontier guys, the Patch note that reads "- Provide a graphics option to adjust UI scale in VR with a maximum and default of 0.7 for Vive and 1.0 for Oculus" is incorrect as this is still not in the options menu. Can you please remove it from the OP so as not to get Vive user's hopes up?

So first hour of play (roughly), and I have to say, it's looking rather good. Very stable, all issues I'd logged that I've so far checked all fixed.

I'll be keeping my eye out, but so far so good - and it really does feel great to finally have all this new stuff go live! Well done, FDev :)

A 4 minute download - not bad.
Bookmarks - so useful!
I must now wash the pots - since no one sells dish washers in ED.
Not even Engineers.

For the record... My STEAM app provided the 2.1 update immediately upon FD turning on their file servers. There was no delay or waiting for the update to propagate out to Steam like some had warned might happen.

The download speed has also been excellent! It is using every bit of my connection's bandwidth with no indication of any traffic based slowdowns or bottlenecks! :D Only drag for me is that my Rural ISP only provides us with 14meg down, so even though I began my download at 12:30 p.m. PDT (A minute after FD turned on the tap) I still have 25 minutes to go with this 8.4GB DLC.

All things considered though, I have no complaints about how Steam handled the update. I won't likely be literally watching the clock and the live stream with future updates, but now I know that if I ever decide to do so, Steam will be ready to roll in seconds of the official release! :D
