Just a quick question for the gurus...
Just upgraded from a 960 to a 1080. Lovely and smooth now, VR settings on High with SS @ 0.85 and HMD Quality at 1.5 frame rates are pretty solid 90, dropping to 45 in station and probably on planets. Will continue experimenting with settings, would people here think that Ultra would be a better place to start?
My main question though, is after looking at another thread here where it was suggested to use a display adapter -> HDMI adapter for the rift, I got such an adapter, but when I plug the rift in through that it seems not to be getting a display feed. The PC knows it is there (through the USB I would guess), but the headset remains dark. Plugging it directly into the HDMI port and it works great.
Am I doing something wrong?
This is the adapter I got.
