Personally I can recommend this for a similar price:

Simply turn off 3 heat sink units, cargo scoop and one of the AFMU's to remain under 100% power use.
No need for a shield provided you can dock/undock without problems. Just keep a 3A shield or whatever until you get close to the edge of inhabited space before selling it.
Same with thrusters and capacitor, as long as you can get back to the first station and outfit for defence you'll be fine getting to where you want to sell your data.
A grade powerplant for heat loss, D grade will build up heat leading to fuel scooping issues.
Realistically you'll only need the two AFMU's unless you plan to go out for months on end, they don't repair hull/powerplant/canopy anyway and they are usually the things that make you need to turn around..
As Dommarraa said a cargo rack and fuel drone controller would be nice if you follow the "Fuel rats" thread and can help someone else but its not necessary for solo exploring.
Advice:
Do not turn off thrusters or FSD in supercruise for repairs
Repair life support on its own so it repairs quickly (and keep an eye on that timer)
Zero your throttle during hyperspace jumps to avoid faceplanting into neutron stars and black holes etc
Learn quickly what you are willing to detailed scan and not. Scanning everything gets you lots of profit and discovered tags but takes ages, most people start off doing everything and slowly scan less and less items until they only scan Earth likes, water/ammonia worlds and Neutrons/black holes.
Good luck CMDR
Edit: Neokortex, not really helpful. Just because you are godly enough (Sarcasm implied) to avoid damage does not mean everyone will. There is nothing worse than getting 40,000LY out and having your discovery scanner broken.
