2.2 is a Disappontment for PYTHON Commanders

Well,

we CANT get cabin for passengers
we CANT transport ANYONE
we CANT get fighter port
so all the fancy new stuff is NOT for python pilots which is ridicolous because what the f... they think the damn second pilot seat on my right is for? i cannot even take ONE damn passenger with?! SO WHY THE FRICKIN SECOND PILOT SEAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Also why no damn cabins? FD argued that the pythin is "already a multipurpose ship". YES IT IS!!! and exactly THATS WHY it does not make ANY sense at all why i cannot customize my MULTIPURPOSE SHIP as I WANT. I could live with not gettin the fighter bay. screw that. but why the damn not the cabins?

next thing i didnt understand so far: where can i setup my avatar?! i didnt find it anywhere. so?

right now, the whole "BIG" update are just some changed sounds, some new small details in the UI, a new menu i didnt ask for and some functions which are not that hard to implement - from a python pilots POV.

i cant get passenger missions
i cant hire crew members. well i can, but its absolutely pointless since i cannot not assign them since i dont have a fighter port. in "reality" i COULD assign a crew member to MY or the second seat which then would assist with my ship while im on the ground with the srv. but hey, thats not possible! so what the point anyway....

yes im damn disappointed. 9gb update for some little little sound and menu changes and that i cannot transfer my ship.... almost a year for that....

Python can't fit cabins? Since when?

Did Frontier remove the cabins small enough to fit even on the likes of Vultures and Type 6/7s?

The only passenger cabins a Python can't fit is the luxury ones. It can fit any of the others, so I'm not sure what you are complaining about.

It doesn't fit a fighter, true. But I think it should have to sacrifice beign able to land on medium pads for this.

Ok, phew was worried for a second Frontier reverted back to only larger cabins again after introducing smaller ones during beta.

So the OP is just a nutcase. That's a relief.

...and that's why I wish these people crying about literally a couple of things in the game that the Python can't do (VIP passengers and launch a SLF) would SHUT THE HELL UP until they're bright enough to realise that the only way those things would ever change is if they were accompanied by some nerf that would be guaranteed to make the most versatile ship in the game less versatile.

well
at least i cannot buy it, i can buy a cutter or a corvette but i cant but buy cabins? are cabins that rare? are they that rare like rainbow-unicorns?! i was on a dozen stations now and not one offered me the possibility to equip cabins.
so im pretty sure i cant. but im open minded for an explanation and how to fix this.

same for my second pilot seat and why i cant assign crew members to it.

You can't assign crew because you can't have a fighter bay in a python.

Yeah totally, I heard you can't find the new POIs(Alien Ruins) when you are flying a Python.
You can't buy or fly a Beluga when you have a python.(you have to transfer to another ship first)
You can't take advantage of the new Engineers when you fly a python.
Can't see the new stations interiors in a Python.
Stuck with the old Station GUI in a Python.
Can't apply the Route Filters when in a Python.
Can't see the new detailed surface map when in a Python.
Can't transfer ships in a Python.(you can transfer a Python, but not while in one)

Just poking fun at your complaint, not trying to be mean.

My point is, there is more to the update than the titular features(passengers - ship launched fighters).
Additionally, many of the other popular ships are missing out on those features as well. Only these ships can support a fighter bay, Corvette, Cutter, Anaconda, Type 9, Beluga, Federal Gunship and Keelback.
So the major features of this update may not be for everybody, but that has been the case for most of the, if not all the updates.

The mighty Python can do anything pretty well... except launch fighters. That doesn't really diminish the ship's vast utility. Get a Keelback and pretend to be a Python and then be really disappointed. ;)

You will need to go to high tech system to get passenger cabins for the Python. As for a fighter bay, nope, but I kinda see your point. If there's one target I like to see in res site it's a Python. Exposed power plant on a big fat rear end = easy money.

Seats are in place waiting for 2.3 The Commanders coming next.

As a die hard Python pilot, I could care less for the SLF to be fitted to the Python.
As for cabins, I believe pretty much all ships can equip cabins, just not the VIP ones. Have you tried Founder's world?
The only time I would actually whine about the Python not having SLFs, would be the day that SLFs are allowed to carry cargo and dock at outposts. So as I'm not keen on Python's having SLFs, I also against giving SLFs the ability to carry cargo and dock at any place other than their mother-ships (this is for all those posters who are whining about how the Python is a superior Multi-purpose ship that can dock at outposts.)

I don't know what a rainbow unicorn is but it sounds g awesome!
EDIT: Oh come on, word that sounds like phreaking isn't even a swear word!!

I had a chuckle at this post.

My Keelback can have passengers, so I dare say the Python can.. it's just a matter of finding a high tech station to buy them.

Also, the Python is a monster of a ship. I remember taking on one in my Cobra MkIII. It wasn't a good day for me. It doesn't need that much more love, it's considerably, one of the greatest ships in the game. The Devs know this.

I've been flying my Keelback for a while now.. put yourself in my shoes. If you came across a Keelback in a Python, the battle would last a whole 10 seconds in your favour.

Stop complaining about the Python. People have been flying her for a long time, and have had nothing but positive things to say. We've known it can't house a fighter for a while too.. This isn't news to us. As for the co-pilot seat. It's strategically placed there for the Commanders update, which I am sure is already under construction. Don't expect it anytime soon though. If you don't know what the Commanders update is, go do some research.

Commander, out.
