Those have already been shot down and debunked. Like I said before... nothing but circular arguments on your side of this debate. Repeat the same thing as if it hasn't been addressed and defeated, hoping that a newer audience that hasn't been here reading along won't know any better.
Fact is, no one actually knows what the unintended consequences will be but there are plenty of reasons why many of those are unlikely. This debate has really become foolish. Nearly nothing new has been presented within a hundred pages now.
It's clear your only objective is to attempt to defeat the feature before it gets out of the gate, so as to prevent anyone from testing and potentially liking it in its currently proposed form.
That's really your concern, though. Right? That frontier might think "hang on a second, this
is a little bit cheap, good point" and change. I agree with some of your points, actually, but it's pretty clear this is amazingly good for commanders. I am not blind, sir (or madam) despite appearances.
This happened with engineers. It sounded great. A few alarm bells but don't be silly it'll be fine. How do you like engineers by the way? You understand that by the time the game is in beta, the feature set is locked in, and only minor changes will be considered, along with fixes, right?
So if it is a bit game breaking, which hey it might not be but I am pretty certain it absolutely will be, it'll be too late. So just like engineers, frontier will be doomed to spend cycles on trying to make something work for people who generally just are over the feature at this point.
I'd like to think this could go a different route, and actually be a darn good QOL addition without upending the entire universe in the process?
