Why decrease mission stacking to 3? If you can limit it by type, why n not just limit all types to 1 at a time and increase rewards substantially? The problem is having to stack at all, and while 3 is better than 20, why not just fix it entirely where one mission is all you can take, and all you NEED to take because each one is individually rewarding, not just 1/3 of the intended reward...
 
I can't wait for the download to complete.
It would be nice if the size of the incoming patch was mentioned in the Chengelog.

I know that, but I don't see why there can't be an option to save it out to an external file, or for them to just roll the appearance data over to the main server.

It's not a given they'll be wiped anyway - keybindings have a habit of persisting from beta.

Regardless though, a standalone avatar file would be preferable of course.

In fact SEVERAL standalone avatar files. That we could save/load to and from. Because seriously, one custom avatar slot? ONE??

That's just selling yourselves short! The devs have spent an entire year creating this wonder of digital portraiture for us, but with only ONE avatar save slot, how many Cmdrs are EVER going to make a new avatar once they've spent hours tinkering and tinkering to get a look they like?

It's just not right! Sure, players might look at other options in the Holo-Me - even mess about with different genders...but then they'll have to discard them every time because saving a new look would overwrite their old favourite one. And that's a real shame, after all the work that's gone into this update!

Then there's the question of second accounts.

Would a second account have to share the same avatar information, just as accounts currently share keybindings and galaxy map preferences? That would be disastrous!

Bottom line, we NEED multiple Holo-Me save slots - anything less just isn't doing the entire character creation tool the justice it deserves!
 
OMG -- I've barely made a dent in scanning through the changelog, and I'm already very excited!

Thank you so much FD, for working so hard on improving this already wonderful game. The little things like vanity views, customizable avatars, ship naming, and whatever else I haven't read yet, goes a long ways to creating more attachments in this virtual galaxy. That is good for you and good for us!

I really can't wait to see what content is added in the coming months and years. Hopefully, the ability to walk around ships and starports, interactions of any sort with aliens, and whatever other cool stuff you guys must be discussing.

Yeah, having additional crew make your ship run slightly more efficient is so arcade. Not unlike the super realistic ED we all know and love. You know, where you are immortal, your escape pod magically transports across the galaxy instantly, insurance companies have infinite money and ask no questions, thrusters get a magical boost so gravity aint so scary and people pay the cost of a ship for a single passenger trip. Oh me oh my, my Immersion is Broken!
 
Nerfing mission stacking?! Only 3 max?! FDev say they don't want the game to be to grindy, but all their changes always push it that way. Missions, military rank, pilots federation rank, engineers, materials, money. It's an awesome game underneath all the layers of grind....

Love everything else in the change log, but come on guys, throw us a bone. Don't take away stacking. Money is hard enough to come by, no need to make it harder. The most fun parts of this game past little to no money, so don't make getting money even more mind numbing.

No, this is the wrong approach. Get rid of stacking like they're doing, that's a good thing. We need to be pushing for an increase in rewards per individual mission - so doing 1 mission post-patch is the same as doing ~6 pre-patch while stacked. Credits, rank, mats, faction standing, everything.

The problem isn't the amount you can gain from stacking. The problem is you're forced to stack to gain it.

No. No magic pips. They can concentrate solely on their station so they don't have to divide their attention. There's got to be some way to reflect that. If not in an extra pip for the system that they are responsible for, then come up with some other suggestion. But there's got to be a reward for not having to divide your attention amongst all 3 systems.
