No but they killed the stacking planet scans, which was a great way of ranking and making money. You're right though, data delivery missions untouched so not completely knackered

Data Delivery is different to stacking planetary scans and completing them ALL with one scan instead of one scan per mission…

Think you can do better? I'm sure FDEV have job openings

(I don't think they'd want him - he's a bit .... grumpy)

Well, they said they had fixed it in the beta, but they hadn't. Personally I hope they have fixed it, but I'm sure the meta will just change to another loophole.

Does anybody know why the new launcher (0.4.6324.0) wants to be installed to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Frontier\EDLaunch" folder?

First, that path is for 32 bit applications (I know that the launcher itself is a 32-bit exe, but the rest of the game is not), and second, my copy of the game is installed to a completely different folder.

Shouldn't the updater be able to auto-detect the correct game folder?

If I accepted the offered path (which is not even an existing location in my current setup), now I'd have 2 different versions of the launcher installed into two separate directories.

Does every user really need to know the exact whereabouts of their game files by heart (it can be especially tricky for Steam users)?

Can't frontier fix the commodities menu so that it's curved in vr like the other menus?

Short notice, but the release isn't out for a couple of hours, I'm sure they can do something* [up]

That's the default location, so presumably you changed it before, and thus I'm sure you can change it again.

I was more concerned about it installing code from 2005  #classic

Try starting the game out of steam by using the standalone launcher.

Thank you for your answer.

Right now I use this solution: launch elite w/ steamvr, exit game to desktop, close steam vr, re-launch game from active launcher. Rift is then automatically detected.

But I think they should fix this and leave the operation as it was before patch 2.3.

No, it wasn't me. It was Steam.
Don't get me wrong, I do know the location of my files, but I bet that a great many of Steam users don't.

Program updaters are supposed to be able to recognize automatically where to copy new files. It's a general rule programmers must be aware of.

What are you talking about? How can I know from which player faction is player I'm shooting to, genius huh? Tell me HOW?! Every NPC is in "not major" faction... players not.

because hollow box?

we are all part ofthe pilots federation THAT is possibly the biggests faction in the game. its headquaters are at founders which you get access to once you are elite.

so there you go, player faction in action. its visible to everyone that you can spot a fellow member and has its own base. you still do not get to control its rules and values however

Well thats a huge let down, I didn't buy ED to take part in an interactive storybook, I bought it for interactive space based multiplayer gameplay...

Hardly what I would call 'Content' - It comes to something when the entire 'new content' is covered in just 7 lines of text of which most is updated 'holo me' system.

Where are planetary landings for ALL planets FD??? -- Little to difficult to complete huh! - PATHETIC!

hmmmmmm someone didnt actually look at what they were buying i see..... landing on more planets are on the design plan, but will be in a future paid updated, and is NOT part of horizons.
FD may have their faults but FGS i wish people would do a tiny amount of looking at what is in the package before buying.

ofcourse maybe they will never come, in which case i will be moaning along side you... but they wont becoming today, nor were they ever meant to.

(volcanic worlds on the other hand... they were meant to be coming for horizons)

No Mention of a fix for the station bugging out when you drop in on a wing beacon?

Or is the station going into a spiralling mess one of your mysterious things?

I guess no one clicked on the link I put a page before, so FYA everyone. :)
