2017 wishlist

I would like to see a few more content updates and bug fixes. Narrower doors for dark rides, and how about a recolorable one? The current doors are too big in my opinion. More horror items. More flat and tracked rides. Like Sizzer, Trihorse, space shot, sports car tracked ride, Thunder Bobs/Musik Express type ride. Shuttle/boomerang coasters. Scenario editor like RCT3. Recolorable wooden coaster. Fix the AI bugs. Security guards.

My biggest wish is that the catwalks had stairs/ladders coming to the ground, cause with the coaster collision boxes and the ladders we can't really do much [mouth shut][mouth shut][mouth shut]. I would also like to see a coaster support editor like in No Limits
[video=youtube;_Pj4n_rUxR4]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pj4n_rUxR4[/video],
.

Possibly some more advanced coaster tools, like allowing clipping and whatnot for those more skill builders, maybe with a cheat? [praise]

That's pretty much everything. This game is coming along great though.

A few requests (sorry for any repeats) - Better water dynamics for waterfalls vs. just spout/jet effects. Also, some water rides for lakes like submarines or boats. Elevators maybe?

Mod Support
Coaster Vertical/Lateral G-Force overlay while building track
Removal of aging.

Not a removal, but better balancing of aging
Better game time (too fast)
True park closing with not a fast forward of night or day as the case may be. This would allow the peeps to actually leave the park when closed and enter when open.

First, before I post my very long wish list, let me say to the developers that I truly love, love, love this game. It's because I love it so much (and I spent most of my career as a SW Project Manager) that I see much potential and room for improvement. So, without further ado and in no particular order, my wish list:
  1. More building stuff. Always more building stuff. We're especially lacking in statues right now and though there's a lot of pirate themed stuff, we could use more and differently themed stuff. Some generic statues and bases and other more versatile, non-themed items would be good as well.
  2. Restaurant tables and chairs and picnic tables and chairs that peeps can actually use.
  3. Ability to build diagonal walls. Even better, allow full movement in any direction of *all* building pieces.
  4. Better/easier alignment capabilities when building things. RTC3 was severely limited by the grid system, so I really appreciate the flexibility here. At the same time, I spend sooo much time trying to get stuff lined up. There has to be an easier way while still allowing the flexibility.
  5. Ability to change the colors of all building design pieces, roofs, columns... everything. Same with scenery items. There isn't much of anything we designers shouldn't be able to recolor.
  6. Ability to combine blueprints. There are a lot of blueprints I make that I want to reuse in other blueprints. Example: If I have a blueprint of a table and chairs set I've created and I'm building a new restaurant, I don't want to have to recreate the same table and chairs set over and over again. I should just be able to add it from my blueprints just as I can add other scenery elements. I should also be able to take a part of a blueprint and save it separately from the rest. IOW, and going off the same example, if I create a restaurant and while doing so, create an awesome table and chairs set, I want to be able to save that table and chairs set as a separate blueprint for reuse later.
  7. Ability to take a created piece of artwork or whatever else that may have multiple pieces and select it all and combine it making it into one object/building.
  8. All flower boxes, hanging flowers, planters, etc. moved to a flower specific location and more options here as well.
  9. More variety in lights and the ability to change the colors of all of them.
  10. Ability to see a subterranean view.
  11. Ability to change the end of a queue path (where no peeps are located) without the ride closing down and all peeps disappearing from the queue. We used to be able to pause RTC3, change parts of paths with no peeps, take it off pause, and the peeps would stay where they are. I'd like that feature, especially since working with the main paths in this game is finicky and any changes to them often requires you to change the end of queue lines as well.
  12. Ability to add more trains to a transport ride without having the ride shut down and having to retest it.
  13. Ability for a transport ride to make money (I'm losing a ton on my Connie Express and I have lots of riders...this may be a bug)
  14. Ability to add more cars to transport rides and coaster rides. Supposedly, there are ways to do this with block breaks on roller coasters. But, I've had incredible difficulty getting that feature to work even after watching tutorials on it. On transport rides, it should be nothing more than the click of a button to increase or decrease the number of cars per train, yet I can't find this basic feature anywhere.
  15. When I click on a section of a rail or coaster track and then click "design," please, please, please keep the camera at the location I clicked and stop sending me all the way back to the station.
  16. Ability to shut off/disable the horrible ride prestige "feature." Sorry guys, but this "feature" is a pretty big fail, IMO.
  17. Stop peeps bunching up in confusion at the end of full queue lines. In general, work on fixing the algorithms anytime lots of peeps end up in one area. Right now, the game is having a hard time with this.
  18. Allow priority queue entrances to begin from the main path. This thing with having to go off the main queue line is very limiting to how we can construct and scene our queue lines, IMO.
  19. In general, fix much of the glitchy behavior with priority queues.
  20. Allow the ability to see how many people are in a queue and on a ride at any given time. We should be able to view this info when looking at a specific ride and also in the park management screens.
  21. Allow the information booth to offer park maps and maybe sunscreen. Basically, make it useful. Right now, it seems most peeps have little use for info booths.
  22. Allow guests to board rides immidiately after other guests depart the ride. We should not have to wait until the departing guests completely leave the ride platform. This is super annoying to me and really has a significant limiting effect on ride turn over time and on where I can place queue exits.
  23. Ability to sort by the different columns in the management areas. Surprised the game was released without this most basic of features, if I'm being honest.
  24. On the shop management screen, provide a link to the employee for that shop. I shouldn't have to click the button to view the shop and get flown half way across the park, only to then have to click on the employee info for that shop. Basically, the management screens need better, and more flexible navigation, especially between personnel and the shops they run, but even with mechanics and janitors. I shouldn't have to fly to them to get information on them.
  25. Teens in my park constantly want more food and drink. But, if I put more food and drink shops down, they close, seemingly due to lack of business. Wouod like to see this corrected/better balanced, or if it's that food/drink shops are needed in a specific area, have some kind of map that shows us where they're needed.
  26. Finally, and this may be a graphics card problem on my end, but if there is a way to eliminate the very heavy pixilation in shadowed areas, I would be most appreciative.

Lastly, a big thank you to the developers for all they've done on this game. I thought RTC3 was the last amusement park sim I'dever see, so I can't possibly express my appreciation enough to the Frontier team. I look forward to the game improving with future updates.

- The thing what I mis the most is roofparts that are used on many disney themed main street buildings.
- Service roads
- One-Way roads
- 3D Movie-based rides that you can place inside building (with different movies you can select). I use the bumpercarts for it right now.
- Change speed, turns, delay, etc on the animatronics
- (queue)Paths with triggers
- Walls that stops any lightsource so you can make darkrides.

Thanks for the work done thus far.
I would like to see...
Auto leveling for flat rides, tracked rides where the terrain could raise or lower to meet the track (not coasters), and and a secondary way to lay down paths similar to tracked rides with auto terrain leveling for that as well.
The coaster supports look good, but they don't work that well. If it is possible, it would look so much better if the supports actively rerouted them selves around track below instead of disappearing completely, or a way for the user to easily add them (spline based).

LOVE THIS GAME!

A few things on my wishlist...

- Convert a Sandbox part to Challenge Mode like a custom scenario
-Sorting of columns in Park Managment screens. For example, sort the staff by training level or salary. Or sort rides by most guests or highest profit.
-Changing car types for the flat rides. For example, use antique cars or sports cars...or changing the cats to buggies similar to dark rides like Disney's Haunted Mansion.
-Ability to turn off items from shops. For example, I don't want to sell elf/reindeer hats in my western themed area.
-Make information booths sell, other things like park maps
-Remember "Filter" set when going in and out of buildings or scenery!
-See stats like "Most Popular Ride" from Park Management screen. We see this when we finish a Scenario, but I'd like to see this during play as well.

Ultimate Wishlist which I know would require a LOT more programming and graphics:
-Go Karts
-Midway style carnival games.
-Chair Lifts
-Transport boats
-Large boat flume with drop (ike Jurassic Park at Universal Studios)

Here is my wishlist... the most things should make the game much better and are mostly things that had to be in the game from beginning:

Advanced User Options like:
- An option to disable collision
- An option that allows us to move all parts with the advance move tool.
- An option to disable most of restrictions on rides as long as it doesn´t cause big graphic glitches (for example curved lifthills...)
- Moving scenery /animation of scenery... would be great to make things turning or moving a long a path(-object)... this would give us an unlimited amount of possibilitys to create animatronics on our own!!!
- copy and select multiple parts on all types of themings and building pieces (not only via blueprint)

Managing:
- Heatmaps for dirt and stuff or an option that shows us were the problems are.
- Sync of ride Prices
- Colored work rosters/heatmaps for the workrosters
- more thoughts from the guests and better balance... while there always thirsty?????
- An option to make all rides free and add a park entrance price with one click.
- Better simulation of extras and ride stuff`and to see the result.... for example: i didn´t see any changes by adding extras to the food stuff... there should be a meter that shows the value/quality .... antoher one: i added a train to a transport ride but it seemed that it didn´t change the price which the ride had.
- More things like securitys, vandals and so on... please add them again... and maybe even are warehouse system like in parkitect, too.

Building:
-MORE and MORE PARTS... we need animatronics, inner room parts and much more from everything (everytime i tried to build sth. i always found some necessary parts missing)
- option to turn/spin as much pieces as possible in every direction
- better or no collision boxes
- better filter control.... sometimes i lose all my filter setting, sometimes they are still there. Sometimes some parts aren´t shown on fitting filters.
- more DOORS (especially smaller ones).... REALLY, i understand that you first added doors which are fitting for the biggest rides (wing-coaster) but we need small doors/curtains out of different materials (for example: a wooden one) and the possibility to change their colors!
- more special parts for coasters and rides.... i am missing the turntable for log flumes, the drop-element for family coasters, elevators for coaster and things like this....! Please add some
- On Ride Photo Thing.... No on-ride photos to create more money!???? We need this.... maybe with real photos and an selling shop at the exit of each ride!
- fake water/lava/nuclear roof types.... (Maybe like the roof plates we need tiles to make big fluid surfaces for darkrides etc)!!! Or just let us build some kind of water pools without collision of course so that what can hide track inside the water.... this would make a lot more type of rides aviable to us

BluePrints:
- more than 2000 pieces... cause of the limit i always try to build as good as possible with so less pieces. While it is still possible to make cool rides (look at the workshop) i always came to the point were i have to stop theming stuff half finished cause of 500-1000 parts. I often would have needed some more. So 3000 pieces would be great....5000 pieces would be awesome as ❤︎❤︎❤︎❤︎. Don´t know if this is technicly possible (file size?/Loading time?/ Memory problems?) but it would be great.
- saving blueprints with paths (maybe adding a pathing area entrance/exit to seperate it from other paths). I think maybe you would have done this, if it was possible. But maybe a path seperating entrance-thing (like an area-gate) could help to get this done.

I would love to have the ability to change the type of car that a ride uses (for instance for a dark ride) without having to delete and build a new one from scratch. I would also like to see more variety in the car types -- at least add a generic unthemed car that I could use for a sci-fi dark ride (the model T's and sleigh just don't work for that). More animatronics suitable for dark rides would also be nice -- perhaps a larger variety of humans and more animals as well. Usable tables and chairs would be nice. I love the triggers, but it would be nice to be able to select whether they start a timed event or work as a toggle with one trigger to turn it on and a separate one to turn it off. It would also be wonderful to have animatronic mechanisms that we can attach scenery to that would move with the mechanism (for instance, a turntable that we could then attach various pieces to and create something like a miniature carousel -- I would suggest a variety of different mechanisms that could be used for various purposes. I would also love to see an option for a boat ride that could be used as a dark ride (ala Pirates of the Caribbean). The ability to select a smaller grid size (one unit or even half unit) would be really helpful. And of course, what good is a theme park without the fireworks [happy]

1. Fix the broken ride aging system

Happy New Year everyone! Hopefully you’ve had a good time and played plenty of Planet Coaster during the holidays.

Firstly, I’d just like to give a little clarification following some discussions regarding Ride Reputation. I’ve noticed a few people posting unsure about what exactly it is and how or when it works. The feature is intended as a means of adding greater challenge to management by creating a gradual decline in a ride’s desirability to guests. Much like in real life, a new ride will be a fantastic and exciting thing that people are keen to try out. Over time the ride slowly becomes more known and the novelty wears off a little, resulting in its Ride Prestige dropping. These rides can still be a centre piece of your park with great theming, pricing and placement. However, after a longer period of time these rides become even more attractive again, much like the well-loved classics you visit each year at your favourite parks. Every park building mogul will know that you need to keep your park attractive for guests with ride types and variation. This helps ensure that you need to continue to manage your park to get the best results.

To clarify where Ride Reputation is applied, you will only find Ride Reputation on the newest Scenarios and on the ‘Medium’, ‘Hard’ and ‘Harder’ Challenge mode difficulties. Reputation changes are not applied to Sandbox mode, the ‘Easy’ Challenge mode difficulty, nor to previous existing Scenarios.

We are pleased to hear that so many of you are enjoying this new added feature but for those of you who would prefer the option to play the new scenarios and harder challenge modes without it we will be adding the option to switch it off as well.

As always we are and will be continuing to listen to the community’s thoughts and feedback. There may be future balancing and enhancements to this or other features in the future so please do continue to give us your feedback and suggestions on the forums.

We hope that helps clarify a little about Ride Reputation. We hope that you’ll enjoy the added flexibility this option will give you and we’re looking forward to an awesome 2017 with you all.
