2017 wishlist

Just my 2c. I'm sure someone else has posted it.
- Option to hide various terrain, scenery, rides, buildings, etc... please, please please.

I just started playing so I'll edit my post as I think of things.

Ok, here we go:
Rides:
Please fix the coaster supports of the Hybrid coasters, they can be very unrealistic at some points
More rides & coasters, now we have a few, while RCT3 had many rides
Brakes don't need to have a straight track, that really a thing that annoyings me.
Please fix the waterrides. The log flume isn't really realistic, and the Rapids should be nice if we can put them on an actual river we've created by ourself.

Buildings:
Possibility to build blueprints in a already existing building
Blueprints stations actually can be used as a station, if I wanna use a blueprint as a coaster station, I never get it in the right angle.

Scenery:
More scenerie pieces!! Everytime if I build something, I miss a piece or animatronic.
Triggers that we can activate on paths. Then we can make some really nice queues :D

This is my wishlist, happy new year!

my wishlist

1. Szenario Editor this would be in the next days a must have
2. Syncronisation of Ride Starts like a Dualling Coaster
3. all Terrainmods in every Sandbox Map
4. Bob Coaster
5. More Classic Rides Like Twister or Kiddi Free Fall or Viewing Tower
6. Custom User Mod Support

Another wishlist:

1. The ability to stop and start a custom audio. (This would allow for the creation of "shows" - think "Country Bear Jamboree"). This audio could be attached to a ride or played through BGM speakers (like the current custom audio works).

2. Sound-proof walls

3. An "event list" (similar to the Trigger list currently available) that would synchronize with the start of an audio track (see item # 1). This would allow the same triggerable objects (lights, animatronics, doors, etc.) to activate with custom created audio track (see item #1). Having this feature would allow a ride/theatre show to better tell a story.

4. Automatic doors - opening or sliding(again, like you'd find in a theatre show)
that would be "honored" by the guests (they would stop and wait for them to open/exit a show when the exit doors open). These would be operated using the "event list" in item #3.

5. Elevators - practical and "show" (the latter being like the "Hydrolators" at "The Living Seas" at EPCOT). "Show" elevators could alternatively be created using items #1, 2, 3 and 4 above.

6. Flat botom boats - similar to the bateaux used in "Pirates of the Carribean" and "it's a small world". These boats could use the same troughs as the River Rapids ride. Using these boats, dark rides could be created as well as splashdown rides.

7. Continuously moving transport rides (like the Omnimover used in "The Haunted Mansion" or the "WEDWay Peoplemover" in Tomorrowland). Again, this could be used in dark rides or as area transportation.

I think glow in the dark accessories would make a fun gift shop especially at night time,

My wishlist:

In no particular order:

1. ANY improvement in the game that would streamline gameplay and make it less tedious and time consuming.

2. Overhaul of the UI so that it can be minimized (it doesn't forget what you were last working on if you need to access the same item, nor does it block your view when working in tight areas), and also further segregates items into categories for quicker access. A minimize button would be fine.

3. A reduced "fear factor" with some peeps. This would allow for a more thrilling coaster build now and then without the penalty that no peep will ride it.

Also, the ABILITY TO SEE COASTER TRACK WHEN BUILDING BELOW GROUND!

4. More pre-made, non-workshop functional buildings that can be easily customized to ease the build time for people who don't have the time or desire to create exotic architecture, and don't want to spend a lot of time digging through the workshop.

Also, more options in scenery! Flora and fauna. Way too limited as it is.

5. Either fixes or tutorials for the current common, time consuming "work arounds"; such as pathing issues, etc.

6. The ability to make dark rides within walls above ground rather than a hundred or so yards/meters below it.

7. More static and dynamic content in all theme categories.

8. Ability to (optionally) synch staff pay and training across the board as is is now with food pricing.

9. Better optimization that takes advantage of newer hardware. If this requires a rewrite of the game engine then so be it.

10. Ability to add textures, not just paint, to shapes.

Please give us more booths (same size as stores) and stores like the following:

Booths:
  • Duck Pulling: A miniature river and little ducks floating in a round. On their bottom you'll find a number ("points") and you can choose a price regarding the total points you got.
  • Airgun booth: Very typical in Austria. A little booth where you can shoot on targets or small tubes with mounted prices.
  • Prize Draw: You buy tickets and get the prices.
  • Darts: You get 3 darts (e.g.) and have to shoot balloons. You can choose a price regarding the total points you got.
  • Ball-Throwing: Take a ball and throw it against heavy targets (e.g. metal bottles). Choose a price regarding your total points.
  • Ring-Throwing: Same as Ball-Throwing, but with rings against targets giving different points.
  • Bouncer Castle: Very small but very funny :)

Stores:
  • Kebab / Doner
  • Mini Donuts
  • Lángos
  • Hot Dogs / Sausages
  • Cooked Dessert
  • Icecream
  • Candyfloss
  • Wafers
  • Beer / Wine
  • Glühwein / Glogg / Hot Wine Punch (for Winter-Scenario)
  • Market Stall: Typically in Austria, you can buy belts, shirts, hats, cheap jewellery, and much more
  • Toy Booth: also typically in Austria
  • Farmer's Market Booths: For cheese, meat, bread, and much more
  • Imbis booth: Wiener Schnitzel, Chops, Pommes Frites, Sausage ...

Others:
  • Celebratory Tent (building parts)
  • Disco (building parts), also typically in Austria
  • Please add "Maps" and "Vouchers" to the Information Booth.
  • Stage for Bands, Musicians and more, very typical in Austria (inside the tent).

Rides:
  • Ghost Train
  • Hall of Mirrors

You may be interested in this post then...

Not really, no.
Instead of fixing the system, which I wished for, they just gave us the option of not using it.
I want the ride age system, I just want it fixed since it is unbalanced (this appears to be obvious to everyone except the devs).

It is not unbalanced.... it is close to real life! I just realized that it is nearly like the real ride reputation is in my home park. I had had first the same problem, that many rides made loses, so i tried to figure it out. Some rides get better by re-theming it, some by changing the ride modes and some only when i deleted for example the slow ride modes. It is just more micro-managment needed to get them to 3 stars again, but it is possible on every ride.... so here is the more micro-management you all wanted and asked for [wacky]

AND if you would have read the post, they are still working on balancing the system better. So the fast solution is that they give you the option to turn the system off.... in the long-term they are still balancing the game and adding more features. I think the developers work on a lot things that are requested from the community and will release it again after they have enough get done to make a great value update (Version 1.2). The smaller updates are only hotfixes to repair broken things or smaller bugs!

Sorry, for the off-topic! But had to sth. about this... So back to topic

my wishlist:
1. clear glass walls
2. clear glass walls
3. clear glass walls
4. clear glass walls
5. clear glass walls.

And thats it.

Please add shuttle mode to transport rides: no track loop, just a track with two terminals, maybe with interstations, allowing only one single train.

[Terminal] -- [Interstation 1] -- [Interstation 2] -- [Interstation 3] -- [Terminal]

The train should change the driving direction when leaving a terminal.

My wishlist would be:

- Placeable guest injection points
- Decent doors and windows
- Working transfer tracks/table for the coasters, to add or stall extra trains
- New, harder scenario's

My wishlist:

Water physics,
Water Rides: Bumber boats, Rowing boats.
Transport Rides: Chair Lift
Flat Rides: Helter Skelter, Twister, Observation Tower, 1 tier Carousel, Go Karts,
More objects for existing themes....plus new ones, Victorian, Horror/Spooky, Roman ,Medieval, Jurassic, Egyptian, + we need more plants...Flower Beds, Roses, Daffodils, Tulips etc
Wildlife: Remove the Pigeons for starters, don't like them, replace with whatever is appropriate for particular scenario, we need Swans, Ducks and Water flora.
Weather: Rain/umbrellas, Wind (temp closing of Coasters, ties into management) Maps

Crossing gates for 'Connie Express' a Turntable.
Better 'Guest' movements....no walking through each other, Winter Clothing for guests.
Mechanic/Janitor having the same face bugs me, Janitor needs a Dust cart.

Here is my wish list...

1). Ability to paint the land in ANY land type allowing for distinct areas within your park (so you can have a winter wonderland next door to a wild west desert if you chose)
2). "Align track with ground" - this has been mentioned in other posts
3). "Entertainment" buildings for entertainers to interact with. Would automatically be entertainment spots but allow the entertainer to interact with their surroundings (the building)

Great job though Frontier! Can't wait to see what comes out next.

So since my other thread got completely ignored, I'm going to list the improvements I would like to see here:

  • ALLOW PATHS TO AUTO-TUNNEL! Seriously, why isn't this already implemented?
  • Give us an "Ignore Terrain" toggle. I want to be able to build a path without it trying to snap to the nearest terrain it can find. This would also make starting bridges off of cliffs much easier.
  • Give us a "Raise Terrain To Path" option or something similar. I would like to build a path up the side of a mountain without spending hours fiddling with the terrain.
  • A nice workaround to the previous item, and a good improvement to the game in general, is to allow terrain to get right next to paths, rides, and scenery. I don't know if it's a collision box issue or what, but there shouldn't be a 10 foot gap between the terrain and whatever it is I'm trying to surround with terrain.

Also, just about every other improvement listed here would be great to have, in my book (Especially the option to disable collision entirely). Also, to give an example of how picky the paths can be when dealing with terrain, look at this:
tRDMBiY.jpg

This is telling me "Terrain too uneven for path". WHY? Why does the terrain have to be there? Why should the terrain affect the path AT ALL?

Your argument boils down to the classic fanboy defense of "get gud" as an excuse for a poor game mechanic.

Well, I disagree. Coasters with excellent stats and average good scenery can barely make a profit as soon as they reach the old status, which they do after a very short time. If this was realistic nobody would be able to finance a coaster in real life. I don't see that happening at all. That said, it obviously doesn't matter how it works in real life, with this sort of game mechanic what matters is if it is fun. And it's not.

The result of the system is that it takes a huge amount of work to get a moderately old coaster to make even a very modest profit after very little playtime.
That is a broken game mechanic.
