2nd Anniversary Update

Nope. They are just ignoring it. Like the stream the other day. They say they are going to still support the game but thats not saying there will be more content. Supporting the game could mean occasional patches.. Keeping the theme makers site up.. Etc. It's not.. Making more dlc.. Making more rides.

Also.. Usually when a company puts out a deluxe version with all dlc. That means that's it. It's complete. No more dlc. And let's not forget they did this for the anniversary. Of course this isn't always the case.. But... Worth noting.

It would be extremely nice if they just gave a definite yes or no.. Will there be more content. They don't have to say what it is.. But I would like to know if this is it or not instead of looking forward to a new dlc that may not even come. I really hate the secretive approach they take with the game.. Like.. Nothing at all. Not a peep and then if they do say anything it's speculative and not confirming anything just giving a roundabout answer that can mean anything. I also got the vibes from Sam that this is the end as well from some things he said. And how they acted. Even though he didn't kinda point out that we have said in the past we thought that was it. And then we got more.. It was a lot of other things said that make me think otherwise. It was a pretty disappointing 2 year anniversary for the game In my opinion. Just the theme makers toolkit. Nothing else.. Even the patch fixes were kinda slim pickings. The deep dive into the toolkit gave very little Information. Or direction. I learned like one thing from it.. The rest I am still try to figure out blindly. Other than saying hello in the beginning to chat.. They basically ignored it the rest of the stream..the questions that were answered were from reddit and already prepared beforehand. I mean why even livestream it. That could have just recorded earlier and just uploaded.

Thank you for your feedback, I remember reading your comments throughout the stream. Sorry you feel that you didn't learn anything, we said several times that this isn't the end of Planet Coaster throughout the stream and highlighted it again at the end. The TMT has taken our dev team months of hard work to put in to the game, far longer than it takes to release a pack and it was a heavily requested feature. We believe it was worthy of being our Second Anniversary Release, because it adds to the freedom and longevity of the game, something that people have been wanting since it's release. Regarding your feelings that we could have pre-recorded the stream, to give a clear and concise tutorial we ran over on timings by almost half an hour. We just didn't have the time to take questions from the chat and considering the Q/As from Reddit were chosen and prepared beforehand, we knew how long they would take to answer, whereas random questions from the chat could have taken another half hour to answer. We didn't ignore the chat during the stream, in fact the questions asked helped guide Sam's tutorial. Feel free to use the forums to ask questions that you feel weren't answered, that's what it's here for! We have a full team of people that read through questions and answer them [yesnod]

I didn't get a chance to watch the stream but I'm glad to hear that this isn't the end for Planet Coaster. I feel that Planet Coaster is the kind of game that is here to stay. I enjoy Planet Coaster very much and also the Workshop on Steam adds so much more to Planet Coaster. Can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for Planet Coaster.[wink]

So you are saying that Yes. There will be more content from Frontier then. That's a definite answer? Cause that's not the vibe I got. The thing is.. You guys are very precise in your answers to make sure you don't actually give an answer... You never said that yes we would get more content from you guys.. You only said.. Same as you did here its not the end of planet coaster. That could mean many different things.

How many times do they have to say that the TMT will not mark the End of Content from Frontier?

I do remember Sam saying something along the lines of "there's a pattern to these things, you guys just have to pay attention to that".

I took that as: there's a DLC and free update every three months, that ain't changing.

Whats good about the Theme Makers Tool kit is that it frees up more time for Frontier to focus on other things with Planet Coaster. If I'm correct the next DLC and free update should be around Feb or March if Frontier is sticking to the normal pattern.

I see no reason to think that we've reached the end of Planet Coaster's development. [big grin]

When they actually say it straight instead of giving roundabout answers.. Again.. They have only said its not the end of planet coaster. This does not mean more content from them. Go back and read my other message more clearly to see what I mean. They have only said they are going to support it.. That's not a definitive answer.. As supporting it could mean many things. Listening to Frontier for the past two years... If it's one thing I have learned.. Is that they never give you a straight answer most of the time and will twist meanings.

Whatever dude

What I've learned from Frontier is they don't give a answer about something until they feel it is ready to be announced. They said it before and they will say it again that this is not the end for Planet Coaster.[yesnod]

Exactly. Frontier has already said it multiple times -between the lines, so to say- including in the TMT livestream, that they still have many ideas for Planet Coaster. Sam Denney even hinted in said livestream that it would be unwise to think that Frontier is done with the game.

Personally, I think that they still have some exciting stuff planned for the game, and I think that "supporting the game" means a lot more than just keeping the TMT website up and releasing bug fixes every now and then, in case of Planet Coaster.

Look at Elite: Dangerous for example; that game is still being updated with new content (currently in the process of getting the final Beyond update) almost 4 years after its initial release.
