4 DLC’s for 2022 - what are your dream bets?

That works! I can definitely understand the wait if we got a fully avian or marine pack, but otherwise I'm feeling that something including a Capybara almost has to be next.
Capybara has been one of the most requested animals for at least a year now, and it's clear Frontier is listening to people's requests.
My guess is if they are adding aviary mechanics that the best time to do an Aviary Pack would be one of the next 2 packs. I said last fall that the next 2 most likely packs were Europe and Aviary, in whatever order.
Either way, I think a Capybara is coming soon. I'm also holding out hope that we also get a Green Anaconda as a habitat animal in the same pack...I know it's a long shot, but hoping is free.

Here's mine

South America Animal Pack: Update Features, Different Exhibit Sizes (Small, Medium and Large), mobility to different points for the Anaconda and future large reptiles or exhibit animals that require different environments, e.g. Green Anaconda could require Tropical River, there would be water space and land space for the snake, and 3-5 different points where the snake would rest, one on a branch, one where it slides into the water, one where it comes out of the water via the branch and rests on the ground, another where it is on a rock ledge, and finally where it rests on one of the branches, half in and out of water. Enrichment Items: Hanging Fruit Branch, Standing Fruit Tree, Vegetable Feeder, Rubbing Rock, Mud Spa, Tube Forager, Wolf Apple Tree Feeder, Hanging Fruit Feeder, Climbing Ropes of different lengths and sizes.

Greater Asia Animal Pack: Update Features, more Natural Climbing Logs and Natural Platforms. Can't think of other things, maybe some Mongolian or Himalayan architecture. Enrichment Items: Hanging Meat Branch, Catnip Pile, Rubbing Log, Hiding Log, Seed Feeder

Alternatively Asia Pack: Update Features, more Natural Climbing Logs and Natural Platforms. Can't think of other things, maybe some Mongolian or Himalayan architecture. Enrichment Items: Hanging Meat Branch, Catnip Pile, Rubbing Log, Hiding Log, Seed Feeder (if crane were to be chosen)

Australia Animal Pack: Update Features, Nocturnal and Crepuscular Behaviours, Terrain Panels and Grid Pieces for like the Faux Rock, Red Sand, Beach Sand, Leafy Forest Floor and stuff like that. Availability of different continental or biome specific terrain across all maps would be great as an alternative feature and more efficient. Enrichment Items: Ant Mound, Mud Burrow, Penguin Box/Burrow, Sweet Potato Bamboo Kebabs, Meat Box, Chew Bone, Floating Log

Enrichment Items: Ant Mound, Mud Burrow, Penguin Box/Burrow, Sweet Potato Bamboo Kebabs, Meat Box, Chew Bone, Insect Tube, Floating Log

And the biggest of all, the Aviary Pack: Aviaries, Flight, Perches, Nest Boxes, Bird Feeders Small, Medium and Large, Hanging water bowls, small fish feeder for pelicans

What do you guys think

At this point I firmly think that Frontier will be alternating between scenery and animal packs for the remainder of PZ's update lifespan, and if they come out with any other DLC model it'll be something in between the two (e.g. six animals and a smaller amount of scenery/foliage). I'm tempted to think that support will continue into 2023 and possibly 2024, but I'll only cover what I think they'll do in 2022.

March 2022 - Neotropical Animal Pack
  • Capybara
  • Patagonian mara
  • Golden lion tamarin
  • White-nosed coatimundi
  • Spectacled bear

Why White-Nosed Coati instead of South American Coati, and Mara instead of something like a Howler Monkey

Why White-Nosed Coati instead of South American Coati, and Mara instead of something like a Howler Monkey
White-nosed coati is more common in North American zoos and would also represent Central America and Mexico. Patagonian an extremely common zoo animal and I'd want to save a howler or spider monkey for a pack that seriously improves climbing/brachiation.

Okay here goes my take on '22.

Capybara
Lar Gibbon
Geoffrey's Spider Monkey (or) Brazilian Porcupine
South American Coati (or) Red River Hog

Ex: Panther Chameleon (or) King Cobra

DLC 2: Endangered Species Pack
Pere David's Deer
Tasmanian Devil
Platypus
Amur Leopard (or) Sumatran Tiger
Scimitar Horned oryx (or) Przewalski's Horse
Spectacled Bear

Rock Hyrax (or) Naked mole rat
Emu
Addax (or) Nine-banded Armadillo

Ex: Egyptian Cobra (or) Veiled Chameleon

DLC 4: Aviary Pack

(This would be a bold and ridiculous idea of mine so bear with me lol)
Free Update: 3 free birds

Scarlet Macaw
Blue and Gold Macaw
Sulphur Crested Cockatoo

One bird per future and past DLCs lol
- Snowy Owl (Arctic Pack)
‐ Military Macaw (or) Toco Toucan (SA Pack)

Something I've been thinking about as a pack theme lately is "Children's Zoo"

It would contain 4 confident walkthrough animals. Candidates could include species like: Capybara, wallaby, or domestics like chicken, rabbit, goats, minature cows, horse, pigs, or donkey.

In addition to these 4 animals, the pack would contain multiple building pieces to more easily create (non-functional) playstructures, as well as objects to create natural history displays (fossils, bones, etc.). More skins would be given for existing conservative boards, increasing the amount of topics guests can be educated on.

Finally, there would also be a recolourable merry-go-round ride (maybe with the option to choose between a few different animal riders). This is something that exists in many zoos and would give guests something else to do while in the park.

A shop selling plushies wouldn't go amiss either.

I think a Children's Zoo idea is very workable! Plus it'd also be helpful for making life-like builds, as they're quite a common feature of real-world zoos.

Also, please have the exhibit animal be the Children's python for no other reason than the name.

I think I'd personally stick to Geographically themed packs, because I feel it makes it a bit easier to theme them. An Aviary pack would definitely be first priority, but honestly there are so many options there that'd all be equally good, I'm not going to do it. Sticking to five As such:

North Asian Pack
(Amur) Leopard
Saiga
Przewalski's horse
Tanuki/Racoon Dog
Red-crowned Crane
Exhibit: Chinese Giant Salamander

India Pack
Sloth Bear
Sacred Langur
Markhor
Yak
Greater Adjutant
Exhibit: A flying lizard species

South America Pack II
Capybara
Spectacled Bear
Scarlet Ibis
Giant Armadillo
Ocelot
Exhibit: Blue Poison Arrow Frog

Islanders Pack: New Zealand and Madagascar
Kakapo
Aye-aye
Fossa
Little Blue Penguin
Indri
Exhibit: Panther Chameleon

These aren't necessarily what I'd consider my absolute favourites in all cases, but I feel they give a good spread of interesting options in each?

Thinking on this, I am feeling more that an India pack seems a very strong contender for the next few packs given SE Asia has been given its own and there hasn't been any further coverage?

But species wise, gonna revise my list to:

Indian Leopard
Sloth Bear
Gaur
Sarus Crane
Sacred Langur
Greater Adjutant Stork
Indian Crested Porcupine
Indian Wild Ass

South America pack 2 still seems solid, but I'd actually make it 2 and 3 cos theres so much good stuff!

Capybara
Spectacled Bear
Maned Wolf
Scarlet Ibis
Giant Armadillo
Ocelot
Three toed sloth
Golden Lion Tamarin
Black Howler Monkey
Rhea
Marine Iguana

Then tbh after that one of 3 options for the final slot:

A: Rejuggle my North Asia pack a little into an East Asia one:

Saiga
Yak
Red-crowned Crane
Chinese Giant Salamander (as habitat!)
Przewalski's horse
Lady Amherst's pheasant
Tanuki / raccoon dog
Markhor

B: North America Pack 2:
Sea otter
Raccoon
Roseatte Spoonbill
Coyote
Nine-banded armadillo
Walrus
Skunk
Oceallated turkey

C: Australia Pack 2
Emu
Red-necked wallaby
Common wombat
Echidna sp.
Tasmanian devil
Platypus
