I haven't bought very many paint packs or decal packs, because quite frankly I'm not about to buy three or five things I don't want, just to buy the
one thing I
do. So I'm planning on spending a bit of money at the Frontier store on Thursday. Since I'm
eventually planning on adding some more large ships to my fleet, I might as well plan ahead for that as well. So naturally I'll be taking the rate of free ARX I earn during a normal week into account.
The thing is that this isn't a zero-sum game here. Frontier wins because I'm
willing to spend more money on cosmetics, which hasn't happened since the last round of universal ship cosmetics I bought a year ago. I win because I finally get to have my ships
match, which is something I've wanted for a
long time, but won't have to pay an outrageous amount for. The players who have no intention of paying for cosmetics win, because they can still get the occasional cosmetic while still playing this game, because Elite: Dangerous is bringing in more money that it costs to run.
