5 commanders leaving

I doubt the game will be what you want in half a year, too much problems and little content.

I try to enjoy whats there but it's just a matter of limited time until I (and my friends) reach your point, some already stopped.

Those who say more content comes in 1.1:
The stuff anounced did not sound very promising to be honest, it's not a huge upgrade.
The biggest change seems to be that they want many people to perform special deeds at specific systems, like "kill 10000 NPCs within 1 week and system will change faction" or "bring 1000000 special food or planet population dies".

Aside from the fact that those community missions are similar to what we do they just move people together.
While that is a nice idea the game is far from ready for that.
The performance is going down extremely when commanders come together (not cause of GPU or CPU) and I doubt they will fix that anytime soon as it's probably a problem deeper in the engine itself.

Anyway, I doubt this whole suggestion section is worth anything as Frontier does their own thing. Suggestions not wanted.

Prolly you are right, especially since alot of the inner circle of betas, is so harsly defending on these forums. Itsa shame though cuz there really are some cool elements in this game.
Judging from threads on the forums, there are alot of players with the same opinion, and if they are all burried in the "cuz you dont understand the game replies" then the devs will not develop what they are asking for.

Look, just go already. You've said your piece, got the reaction you wanted so now all you need to do is leave. All that remains is for me, on behalf of the community (I hope), to thank you and your friends for their financial contribution towards our gaming pleasure and we hope to see you back in six months.

Supercruise is awesome. I am truly loving it in this game.
Flight model and 'pleasure from flying' is very good in this game. Flying in supercruise in the system is the most awesome in ED than in other games. They made it really good. And this is thing what i can do everyday - just flying around solar systems and galaxy!

However, there is lack of content, there is no missions for powerful ships, no social integration, game is very impersonal, there is no concept arts, faces, peoples. It is hard to imagine story and universe when you see a few star stations. Space is really big but everything everywhnere is very similar.

There is a good story around, but you can get it only from pure text from galnet news. It is not enough.

I like 'just flying'. But i understand point of view persons who want or expect more. There is a seed of true in this all complains.

Needs more developers. The potential is so huge it's driving the users nuts.

IMO, start charging a small monthly fee to get a long term sustainable business plan and hire more dev's with it.

Or sell to Blizzard. Not that they're a perfect model, WoW sure has issues too.

So far the community has been nice, couple trolls, but mostly ok. I am not from beta and I am not harshly defending any old Elite "things".

There seems to be also people who want to remove 99% from the game, and leave just a pew-pew space shooter. These guys may get rather harsh comments, but they really should go to play COD instead ;)

I also agree that I am not even sure if anyone is actually reading these things, but would make no sense if they were not.

Sounds like you want to make ED work like EVE Online ? I think you need to give the game time to mature. How old is EVE Online ? As it stands, ED is pretty good for what it does.. initial bugs have been addressed. I'm sure FD have a plan for releases over the next 12 months and beyond.... and stop drinking so much Redbull

Yes, and this is the point. I think potential of game exceeded plans and people expectations also exceed current for of game.

This game is being developed!! More content will come!

We know, so thats why we are here. But we need to point developer what we expect.
We want game, we want play and we can pay for good game. FD - hire more devs, make more content. You know what to do ;)

I do not remember in game history, any other game witch such excellent community and a group of people who want to play 'this' game.
We can disagree at many points, we can have different vision sometimes - but we all agree in one point - we love to play Elite, and we want more game content.

From development part they are doing rather ok job. They are updating something weekly, that is nice to see. I assume the wings are taking lot of time from their dev team, so weekly updates are not that big. I still have to say that things like ALT+F4 disconnecting should be fixed in weekly updates ASAP. Also this trucking madness should get at least some kind of fix ASAP.

"Stay on the ball, keep 'em rolling!"

Maybe Space simulator games are not for you, or in general simulator games. Because simulator games are in general games that the player needs to adapt to/spend time learning and such rather then instant gratification, they are often 'slow' games compared to mainstream games. And if you do not enjoy that, that is fine. But you cannot blame the game for that.

Err, how exactly does ED fit in the simulator category? The multiplayer-gaming-related speed limit? The more-gamey-dogfight gimped yaw rotation? Supercruising your way through 40LY faster that it takes to commute to work in the morning? Instant magical update of a galaxy-wide database containing all crime records for every ship? Pink nebulas? Instant load/unload of any amount of cargo? Pretty much every single game vs sim decision has been made on the game side. As for time to spend learning, learning what? Apart from the voluntarily-arcadey dogfight model when facing humans, what exactly takes any learning time?

What do you mean you don't like having to trade the same route 200 times to make money?

Games got a perfect balance of grind and RNG. EG. Half the things in the game take 100 hours and the other half take 10 hours to 100 based on RNG hahahahahahahaa

H

AI... come on. there is no danger anywhere in Elite, unless some stupid ship with absolutely no AI races into LOF
(oh thats right that also not dangerous, you just finish the kill, and jump out of there)
AI... cant count the number of conda, dropships, clippers, that jumped out when i had them down to 5-15% - pointless
.

this 100%. FDev totally plugged out the Danger in Elite:Dangerous.
