I don't really intend on doing so. I've known a bunch of them, I see the occasional review but mostly I don't think we ever hear from them again after they complain about getting ganked and get crapped on.

They don't do anything about them for a few reasons, but the simplest being... money.
As I've said before- they won't take a stand either way because it profits them to remain quiet as long as people are buying copies of the game. When it starts hitting their balance sheet, they'll start looking at making major changes- and it won't be up to any single person at FD once that happens.
As to the "why", Seal clubbers serve as a "catalyst" in Open. It's really that simple. They're basically "tools" of FD, helping to promote how "dangerous" Elite is supposed to be.
As I've also said before, C&P 3.0 doesn't go far enough- but it's a good start in FD's acknowledgment that there's a problem to begin with. By their acknowledgement alone, they've really spoken volumes that the PvP player base alone would not be enough to sustain their balance sheet and keep this ship in the sky. Anyone who considers that point as "speculation" should consider one question... If they've been "fine" for years and the PvP base *would* sustain this game- why would they even bother to introduce changes to C&P? Why not just leave the game as it was?

As for the fact! that people are driven into a**hole free environments: I started playing again 3 weeks ago and picked up some of my very few friendships here.
Two of them are gone where they can PLAY this GAME and won't have it get ruined by sick minded wannabees with no idea how much the revival of this game means to enthusiasts.

Someone say Combat logging? Only in Mobius if a seal clubber tries to sneak in and go after me.. they already show they have no cares for how others play the game so they can whine as I pull the plug ^,^

Sorry OP - FDEV built this box. Players do whatever they want with the mechanics of the game. I would personally prefer a structured pvp and wvw system /mechanics within a pve setting on a megaserver but that is not what we have. 20 years of mmos should have offered some foundation for Elite's game structures - but no.
Elite will always be indy niche since it caters to the DayZ survival crowd 1st (full pvp open), and the pve crowd 2nd (cheaping out the pve server via pg mode). This C&P fiasco will be a new vehicle for clever folks to inflict pain on pve'rs imo.
Hope to see you in Mobius PVE if there is still room. Last time I looked there were over 19k members. More in plain old Mobius. It's fun seeing and chatting with players from all over the world.

It isn't a case of two wrongs don't make a right... it is a case of one player clearly ignoring blatant signs that others do NOT want to play with them and so they "sneak" into a PVE group to MAKE others "play" with them with no other intent except to cause grief... and you're going to tell me I am wrong for denying them the satisfaction of having accomplished their objective? I'm sorry no.. at that point Combat Logging is fully justified. There is no "moral high ground" and letting them destroy you as you valiantly attempt to escape. To suggest there is, is plainly Ludicrous . They don't want to play by the rules, they have deemed themselves to be beyond them... so they can kiss it and watch their target vanish before the interdiction is done.
I and others have reasons that we don't PVP.. I will NOT be forced to even if THEY want me to...

I hope so, but this was the sentiment when speed restrictions came out to stop griefing in mail slots and that didn't work.
