Button prompts

While I appreciate the new tutorials, which are certainly good for new players, I absolutely dislike that there are more and more button prompts in the game.
My ship doesn't tell me to press "J" for disengaging. It tells me "safe disengage ready". I'm the pilot, I know what to do, and so does every new player after having done it two or three times.

This might look like a trivial thing, but it's the fly in the soup for me. Breaks the simulation.
I would love a toggle for all these prompts we have for hyperjumping, lifting off planets, the keybindings displayed in the FSS and galaxy map.
A way to just disable tutorial mode completely would be great, which can even be done in most arcade-like games.

Yeah... When I saw the disengage one, I was hoping really hard that it was only for the tutorial, I hate it enough with taking off from planet surfaces.

They are all useless to me because I have no idea what "press joy 14" means my controller doesn't... Work like that.

Frontier needs to give us an option to remove all these prompts. I don't need them, and I don't want them. I know my bindings, and more importantly they're utterly immersion breaking.

They really really are.

If I could modify them myself that would be ok, I could change the icon to something I wanted, or change the wording that would be cool, but that's never gonna happen.

So they extended the button prompt messages, like we already had when engaging hyper drive? I always found that to be out of place in this game. So many parts of this game are already optional, I really hope displaying button prompts will be too. I also think the prompts are barely helpful for those using a HOTAS, like "press button 538".

I kinda agree, and at least for me having an Option to hide those is a different/additional reason.

The Instruction "Press Joy 9 + Joy 14 to {action}" is meaningless to me. Because : I have no idea where "Joy 5" or "Joy 13" on my HOTAS actually is;)
It's all muscle memory, I know which buttons to press for which action (I assigned them after all). But I have no idea how they're numbered, way too many buttons, no chance lol

So if the Game would randomly ask me "Dude, press Joy 11" ... I'd literally have no clue.

Those notifications to press buttons were obviously part of the tutorial. Something new player does when pressing start button upon launching the game for the first time. Like f.ex. notification to "enter hangar to complete the assesment", which ended tutorial and took them back to Main menu to create new Cmdr.

You people enjoy getting worked up for nothing?

Was it? I missed the video so this is an honest question.
No need to miss out.

It's a tutorial designed as a separate experience. It has checkpoints you can load if you messed up, you can skip it, etc. It's like single player scripted mission with all kind of notifications to let people know what they supposed to do.
I really don't think that represents changes to the game. Really.
The only thing they changed in the main game UI, and talked about it specifically, was the shape of throttle indicators.

Hm. I don't think it was.
The hyperjump prompt sure isn't, and the lift-off prompt also isn't only tutorial.
Apart from that I don't think anybody is getting worked up here. It's just annoying and we point it out.
I get that such "small" things are completely irrelevant to some people, but so is combat balancing for me, or PvP... I care for immersion though, and prompts break the simulation.

What "lift off prompt"?
hyperjump prompt? There was objective on the right panel - to initiate hyperjump, and tip in the upper part of the screen what to press to charge the drive -OBVIOUSLY part of the tutorial script.

If you still have doubts - just look at the video again - all scripted tutorial notifications, like those which button you need to press, are printed on the screen, they're not part of the 3D cockpit, like everything else - they do not shake with the ship fex - they will be before your eyes even if you'll look around.
Stop worrying. Nothing will change for you.

The lift off prompt you get when taking off from planets, that's in game, right now. (Hold X to lift off)

The hyperspace prompt saying "press j to cancel" if you are traveling to an anarchy system, which is in game right now.

Yeah, but the one about safe disengage didn't look the same, it replaced the "safe disengage ready" message, with "press X to disengage"

Ah, that's another matter. All I'm saying is that judging from the video , nothing new will be added to the UI and what's new is part of the tutorial only.
