Your last enjoyable Elite activity?

Was musing with my old guild buddy the other day and we got to chatting about ED again.
We both came to the realisation that the last thing we had both enjoyed was participating in DW2.
Even more disturbing was that since DW2 finished last summer we had only been online together in Elite on two occasions!

Anyone out there finding fun stuff to do?

So this thread is aimed at people who don't play anymore to see what they can still remember?

My last enjoyable activity was doing planetary scan mission earlier today. I had a lot of fun, because first of all I'm flying new ship - Federal Gunship, that I've outfitted in such way that it has 100m/s top speed and distributor is unable to boost. I always felt that great speeds distort the sense of scale in the game, so I'm enjoying slowly approaching targets now :)

Reason im playing again is finding turreted weapons.. on everything (i don't fly small ships).

Serves me right for believing internet children. Its adds magnitudes of pleasure to combat. Totally shocked i never tried these until the type-10.. and didn't put them on everything until 2 weeks ago.

I think you need to listen to "Warp Riders" again then slap some G5 DDs on the bad boy😉
My memory isnt the best, if you have no idea what i am on about, my apologies, i am confusing you with a different CMDR.

A few days ago I finally rigged up a ship that can handle silent running for a couple minutes (DBX) and sorted out the data hacking terminals at installations. I still have to do the hacking of the storage units, but I had a good time with the data.

Since then I've trained up a novice pilot to expert level... glad to hear that insurance now covered the investment in time and energy... and credits, lol.

I've also been collecting mats as I went along and visiting the traders. That, along with a bit of engineering, really spiked my arx generation.... hittting the limit quickly.

I'm back in my Sidewinder, exploring around the bubble, trying to grab something that hasn't been found. Been enjoying it. I did a rare haul across the bubble in it before that. I bought a couple ships when the paintjob sale happened. I'm thinking about making an AX Mamba next, but I could also grind some engineers and try to get my Keelback AX fit again. I did a bit of AX grind a while ago, but the ship didn't end up particularly effective. It took too long to kill Scouts with it. I need to get more AX stuff like the scanner, and make a more deliberate module load out.

I'm on a mighty travel back from Colonia (this time I'm using stations along the way, instead of randomly picking a system 19.9kly away and flying there.

On my way out I just JSH'ed every system and made 50m in credits, but I've learned how the fss works now, so it'll be a slow journey but will make gazillions in cartologic data.

I went out in an asp scout, coming back in a DBX...loving every minute!

Ah, a thinly-veiled complaint thread, neato.

I ran into a newer commander over the weekend. Little Cobra, saw me and turned the other way fast in a CZ (he hadn't declared yet). Boosted after in my Mamba, did a FA-off flip flash of the headlights in front of him before heading back in. He hung around the outside of the battle for a while, maybe ten minutes, before finally going.

New players are fun.
