Today is "updating lists day", so here's my updated version with the new animals in bold:

2. Papua monitor (beautifull aboreal monitors from oceania)
3. fallow deer - i thought about including the red deer, but i choose the fallow deer instead because of their common appearance in european "native zoos" (wildparks) and as a petting zoo animal

I mostly feel like most region are quite all right represented and the only big hole still missing is more representation for european and northamerican fauna, as well as 1-3 more additions to oceania. Southamerica might also only have 8 habitat animals, but i feel like thouse 8 animals are quite the well rounded package that would be okay if left untouched

I have only broad suggestions that I think would help the game's breadth and depth aside from the bat-eared fox which is my personal favorite!

5. a civet type animal in addition to binturong

I am good if we don't get any of these except the deer! IMO we need a more temperate version of deer

The Diana monkey is IIRC more common in captivity but looks almost the same. They were once thought to be subspecies.
Never heard of it, but you are right. In the end i would be happy with either, because i just really like their looks and the fact that i would like atleast one smaller monkey from africa
I saw the Diana monkeys at Edinburgh Zoo a few years ago and fell in love with them, so I'm with you there.
Now we gotta tell that on the metawishlist that they are practicly the same animal with diffrent levels of being the only species
