I'm averaging 9-10 sometimes 8 and sometimes 11 but that seems ok to me. What grinds my gears is that there's still no way to avoid playing the crappy High Grade Signal game for certain materials.
This has always been the worst. Soul destroying.
First time worked on completing a PvP capable ship I needed CDCs for hull reinforcements and armour, I must have spent 4 days, about 18 hours in total gathering the bare minimum needed for the build (ie, no god rolls).
It was the least enjoyable experience I had had in a game since unlocking the engineers which is also an insane grind.
This was only made remotely worth it by the joy I got from using the ship once completed.
It's totally disrespectful of a players time and an absolutely unnecessary sink, that results in something just good enough to keep a man from walking away.
I'm surprised we didn't hear more about it before, and I'm wondering if 3.0 has actually succeeded in getting more people to engineer, or at least engineer all the way up to g5. Maybe it's just now people are aware they have more rolls to max out a module, rather than being happy with 1 or 2 rolls that use a very rare mat.
Either way the sentiment keeps coming up at the moment.
